As car companies start to execute launch plans postponed by the MCO suspension of activities, we’re seeing new models coming into the market. Soon, the Kia Seltos will also be in showrooms in Malaysia and those who want to be among the first to own it can start placing their bookings at 11 selected outlets in Peninsular Malaysia.

The Seltos, which is about the same size as a Honda HR-V, is an all-new addition to the Kia range in Malaysia. It will be available in EX and GT variants. Both variants will be available in Glacier White Pearl or Gravity Grey exterior colours, with the GT trim being Intelligency Blue.

The price is not mentioned yet nor the specifications and from the 6 engines that are available for the model, a 1.4-litre turbocharged or 1.6-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine could be offered. Most likely, a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission will be fitted.

The Seltos made its debut in mid-2019 in Korea and has been progressively launched in some markets. It is also produced in India and China (where it is sold as a KX3). Last year, about 90,000 units were sold in the 6 months following the model’s introduction.

Volkswagen’s ID family of all-electric vehicles designed from scratch consists of at least seven models, of which two are ready for the market. The first is the ID.3, a hatchback based on the original ID concept shown 4 years ago. Production is underway and order-taking began in July this year, with first deliveries starting in October 2020.

Now attention is being switched to the ID.4, which will be the brand’s first all-electric SUV, to reach the first customers before the end of this year. Like what some other carmakers have been doing, highlights are being revealed prior to the commercial launch (at the end of this month).

Following a description of the aerodynamic exterior, we are now being told about the interior. Having had the opportunity to start from a clean sheet – or perhaps a clean hard disk might be a more appropriate term – the interior designers have been able to provide plenty of space with a purist approach. This has been partly helped by the use of the new MEB platform, developed for electric vehicles.

Traditional SUV elements maintained
While there is much departure from traditional SUVs, some elements are maintained – like the large door openings, commanding all-round view and high seating position. These are what people have been buying SUVs for and would still expect even if the powertrain is entirely different.

The door handles on the ID.4 lie flush with the body and come with electric unlocking. Inside, the cabin area is a generously planned space with the rear seat bench offering as much space as a conventional SUV in the next higher category. There’s also plenty of luggage space and even with the rear seats in use, the available volume is 543 litres.

2020 Volkswagen ID.4

The front seats are sporty and comfortable, their design and structure bearing the seal of approval by the German Campaign for Healthier Backs. They will come with a number of electrical adjustment options, while their pneumatic lumbar supports have a built-in massage function.

The materials used underline the character of the ‘feel-good’ lounge. There will be versions with seat covers made from animal-free materials. They are constructed of a combination of leatherette and ArtVelours – a microfibre material that consists of around 20% recycled PET bottles.

Ample sense of space
The ID.4’s interior design underlines the ample sense of space. Similar to the exterior design, it appears flowing and lightweight, focussing on the essential. The dash panel seems to be floating, as it is not linked to the centre console, which has been designed as an independent component.

2020 Volkswagen ID.4

The steering wheel, steering column, the housings of the display and control panels in the doors come in trendy Piano Black or purist Electric White. The bright colour sets a futuristic highlight throughout the vehicle interior and underlines its clear-cut design.

A large, tilting panoramic sunroof made of glass (optional) gives unrestricted view of the sky. As darkness falls, the background lighting can be adjusted within a 30-colour spectrum to set striking highlights in the vehicle interior.

Klaus Zyciora, Head of Volkswagen Group Design, emphasises that the entire display and operating concept has been designed logically and with a straightforward character. “The intuitive operability of the ID.4 brings a new, electric ease to the crossover SUV category,” he explained.

2020 Volkswagen ID.4

ID.Light
ID.Light is a new feature that will be offered in all ID. models. This is a light strip below the windscreen which supports drivers in a host of situations with intuitive lighting effects in different colours.

For instance, ID.Light will signal to the driver that the vehicle’s drive system is active and that the car has been unlocked or locked. It accentuates information issued by the driver assist and navigation systems and signals braking prompts and incoming phone calls.

In conjunction with the navigation system, ID.Light helps to smoothly guide drivers through traffic. By blinking, it recommends a lane change and can also warn the driver if their ID.4 is in the wrong lane.

2020 Volkswagen ID.4

For sale in major regions
The ID.4 will be part of the globally booming, compact SUV segment and Volkswagen’s plans call for it to be produced and sold not only in Europe but also in China and later in the USA. For this reason, the Volkswagen brand will be investing 11 billion euros in electric mobility by 2024 as part of the Transform 2025+ strategy.

‘Gelandewagen’ (and also ‘G-Wagen’) was a reference name to the 4×4 vehicle that Mercedes-Benz launched in 1979 which would evolve into the G-Class in the 21st century. It is also the name of the first outcome of a collaboration that is a first of its kind between Mercedes-Benz and Chief Creative Director and Founder of Off-White and Men’s Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton, Virgil Abloh.

Conceptual design project
Project Gelandewagen, a conceptual design project led by Mercedes-Benz Chief Design Officer Gorden Wagener and Abloh, used the Mercedes-Benz G-Class to explore ways of disrupting future perceptions of luxury. The result is a distinctive manifestation of the SUV as never seen before.

Project Gelandewagen 2020

Compelled to support the arts at a critical time, a replica of the design piece will be auctioned as part of Sotheby’s Contemporary Curated, one of the auction house’s most revered series which is defined by the unique perspective of a different influential tastemaker each year, with all proceeds going to a charity that supports international creative communities. Advance bidding will begin on September 14th, 2020.

In support of creative communities
Describing Project Gelandewagen as perfectly encapsulating Mercedes-Benz’s manifestation of contemporary luxury, pushing creativity and innovative design, Bettina Fetzer, Vice-President Marketing at Mercedes-Benz AG, said: “Culture and the arts have always played an important part in both Mercedes-Benz products and the brand, and we are proud to donate all proceeds of the replica auction to support international creative communities to continue their education in the arts.”

Project Gelandewagen 2020

“With Project Gelandewagen, we create a unique artwork that showcases future interpretations of luxury and the desire for beauty and the extraordinary. The result is something between reality and future,” said Wagener. “The collaboration with Virgil has seen two distinct design philosophies unite, for a one-of-a-kind re-imagination of the G that continues to celebrate the extraordinary at its core.”

G-Class racing car
From a 4×4 to a Landaulet, the G-Class has had many incarnations to date, but never a racing car – until now. The finished design simultaneously never forgets its point of origin and captures the experience of a racing car.

The design process was inspired by Wagener and Abloh owning and experiencing the G-Class first-hand and identifying opportunities for maximizing its Mercedes-AMG attitude. Together, they considered how to make the viewer look at the brand’s designs with a fresh perspective, while driving luxury away from a polished and flawless aesthetic to something raw, natural and altogether more honest.

Project Gelandewagen 2020

The exterior is kept as clean as possible to emphasize the iconic silhouette of the G-Class, demonstrating its monolithic character. The final design lays its construction methods bare, and celebrates the handcrafted imperfections that make it unique. The paintwork was partially sanded by hand to create a sense of timeless simplicity.

Project Gelandewagen 2020

Welds are celebrated as key design motifs, as craftsmanship takes centre stage. The indicators, outside mirrors and the bumper bar have all been removed and the body of the car widened and lowered, for a sportier effect. The distinct personality of the G-wagen remains intact, with an exaggeration of the tyres and spare wheel.

Project Gelandewagen 2020

Project Gelandewagen 2020

Inside the art piece, reduction reigns and the racing inspiration is clear. All interior areas have been stripped back, and the safety frame becomes a central motif. The dashboard is removed and replaced with a clean, reduced version that incorporates an analogue speedometer and fuel gauges, reminiscent of a classic car.

Project Gelandewagen 2020

This contrasts with the steering wheel and seats, which are more akin to a Formula 1 racing car. Safety features and key racing elements, such as the safety frame or the 5-point seatbelts are highlighted in baby blue and bright red tones. These strong accent colours create a new kind of colour grouping, and contrast against the bare interior.

Hyundai’s Tucson will start its fourth generation when its world premiere takes place on September 15, 2020. Before then, the company is showing the first official images of its all-new SUV.  For this new generation, the Korean carmaker has made major changes to the styling and it will be the first C-segment SUV to be available in two different wheelbases to suit different  markets.

Overall, the new Tucson’s body is bigger and wider than before, with a long bonnet and short overhangs on a stretched wheelbase that give it a coupe-like profile. The angular body panels offer yet another interpretation of the parametric design language that Hyundai is now using.

Hyundai Tucson 4th generation

The exterior styling expresses what Hyundai designers call ‘Parametric Dynamics’ with kinetic jewel-like surface details that will have people doing a double take. Chiseled surfaces create a striking contrast between sleek silhouette and masculine wedge, suggesting forward motion even when standing still. The taut athletic shapes merge into angular wheel arches in the typical manners of SUVs.

Parametric Hidden Lights
New design highlights include the latest evolution of Hyundai’s signature headlamp architecture called ‘Parametric Hidden Lights’ and a dual cockpit layout that offers personalized space with a high-tech user experience. The signature daytime running lights (DRLs) are integrated into the jewel-like grille, only revealed when turned on.

‘INTERSPACE’ with an integrated interface
The evolution of the Tucson’s interior layout has led to a lower instrument display and removal of the gauge cluster housing for a decluttered surface.  The broad ridge of the dashboard blends seamlessly with the doors, wrapping around front occupants like a deep gorge.

The vertically oriented, fully integrated centre fascia descends to the console like a mighty waterfall. Twin silver garnish lines streaming from the centre fascia to the rear doors harmonize neatly layered premium surface materials in complementary neutral tones.

“The mission of ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ is to elevate the emotional qualities of automotive design. We want our customers to feel moved. With the all-new Tucson, we are introducing its ultimate evolution and a definitive statement about Hyundai’s unstoppable forward momentum,” said SangYup Lee, Senior Vice-President and Head of Hyundai Global Design Centre.

When a model has been a success – to the extent of being ‘European Car of the Year’ in 2017 – it is a bigger challenge for the product team to come out with a successor. How to make it better than what has already been regarded as a superior product in all respects would have been on the minds of the team.

Well, a full model change is not quite due yet but with the market being so competitive these days, an update has to be significant, especially with the brisk pace of technological advances. So the new 3008 revealed today refreshes the French carmaker’s successful SUV to maintain it as a leading choice for buyers.

2021 Peugeot 3008

Current 3008

Evolutionary changes
The appearance has, predictably, evolutionary changes with ‘an inspired design’ setting the codes for the next phase of modernity, while enhancing refinement and vibrancy. A new frameless grille symbolises the increasingly modern style, while maintaining a fluid design. It  extends with fins under the headlamps to connect all of the elements.

To emphasise the sportiness, shiny black side scoops and a painted tread plate have been included into the new bumper from the first trim level. There is also a specific grille on the GT/GT Pack versions, with a scalable design pattern to emphasise the stylistic upgrade of those versions.

2021 Peugeot 3008

The front headlamps have also been redesigned to be more aggressive, standing out with their unique shapes. LED technology is used across the whole range and extended by hook-shaped DRLs with a chrome tip. This light signature is perfectly in line with the current Peugeot style and is identifiable at first glance.

2021 Peugeot 3008

2021 Peugeot 3008

On the GT/GT Pack versions, Full LED headlamps offer an even more high-tech and distinctive look, thanks to the extended light signature and the bend lighting function which optimises visibility at speeds of up to 90 km/h.

Of particular note is the new ‘Foggy Mode’ function which has replaced the foglights. It is integrated into the Full LED headlamps, and switches on the low beam headlamps with reduced intensity when the rear fog lamps are activated.

At the rear, new, upgraded lighting units include Full LED technology (including the reversing light), displaying the 3D ‘claws’ for a distinctive light signature. The indicators are sequential now and the LED lighting units are also installed across the whole range.

2021 Peugeot 3008

The lights are covered with a clear, smoked glass, extending the black boot lid on each side of the vehicle, which helps to visually widen the rear of the vehicle.

Depending on the market and the requirements of the distributor, there are also variable design elements, including a new ‘Black Pack’ option. This has darker elements such as the grille, roof bars, tread plates and wheels.

The new i-Cockpit
One of the features that has won the 3008 high marks is its i-Cockpit and for the latest version, this has changed to be even more modern. The 12.3-inch digital display, fully customisable and configurable, features a panel with ‘Normally Black’ technology for high quality rendering with better readability and contrasts.

2021 Peugeot 3008

The new central touchscreen is 10 inches in viewing size and, as before, the screen has high definition comparable to what you have on a smartphone these days. Below it are a series of 7  piano keys – operated in toggle fashion – allowing direct and permanent access to the main comfort functions.

2021 Peugeot 3008

To complement the update of the i-Cockpit, the interior has new trim with higher perceived levels of quality. High-end versions will have Nappa leather upholstery and Alcantara lining and also available is a range of new exclusive decor such as New Dark Lime Wood and window winders with chrome inserts. The rearview mirror is also frameless now, adding a touch of elegance.

New smart technology
Since this generation of the 3008 was launched, new and more advanced driving aids have been introduced into the market. The new 3008 gets many of these systems which include Night Vision, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go function, Lane position assist, Active warning of unintentional lane (or roadside) departure, and the latest-generation automatic emergency braking (AEB) which can detect pedestrians and cyclists.

2021 Peugeot 3008

Night Vision is unique in the compact SUV segment as it detects living beings (pedestrians/animals) in front of the vehicle at night or in reduced visibility. The system’s range guarantees detection up to 200 – 250 metres – beyond the range of the high beam – with a central display of the infrared view within the digital meter, and therefore in the driver’s field of vision.

2021 Peugeot 3008

With smartphones an integral part of daily life, the 3008 now integrates information and apps from the device onto the central screen. MirrorScreen compatibility including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection protocols make this possible.

Powertrain choices
Peugeot, like other carmakers, has an electrification program for its models as the decade progresses. Besides petrol and turbodiesel engines, there are also hybrid powerplants, along with all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive variants. The PureTech petrol engines are in two displacements – 1.2 litres (3 cylinders) and 1.6 litres (4 cylinders), while the turbodiesel is available with only a 1.5-litre displacement.

2021 Peugeot 3008

The hybrid powertrain for the AWD variant has a 200-bhp PureTech engine working with two electric motors, one at the front and the second positioned on the rear axle. The 2WD variant uses a hybrid powertrain of a 180-bhp PureTech engine with an 80 kW electric motor located at the front.

The lithium-ion battery pack has a capacity of 13.2 kWh and two types of on-board chargers are available – a 3.7 kW single-phase charger as standard and a 7.4 kW single-phase charger as an option. Estimated recharging times range from around 1 hour and 45 minutes to 7 hours.

2021 Peugeot 3008

Revealed today, on sale in 2021
The global online event today has only provided an overview of the new model and the sales launch will take place towards the end of the year in Europe. The Malaysian market should see it some time in 2021, perhaps faster than usual since the PSA Group now has the Naza factory in Kedah that serves as a regional production hub, supplying the 3008 and 5008 to ASEAN markets.

BRABUS declares itself to be the world’s largest independent automotive tuner for more than 4 decades and during that time, it has established a reputation for raising the performance levels of Mercedes-Benz models. Its expertise in petrol and diesel internal combustion engines (ICE) is considerable but with the industry moving towards electrification, will the company be able to continue its business of providing performance upgrades?

BRABUS Electric concept

The answer would be yes and BRABUS is already showing that it can do for electrically-powered cars what it has done for ICE cars. In fact, it already has a Zero Emission Division for some time now and this division began looking at the EQC 400 4MATIC by Mercedes-Benz when it arrived on the market.

It has developed a performance upgrade for the EQC’s electric powertrain and delivers even more agile driving dynamics. Known as the E-PowerXtra performance upgrade, output goes up by another 10 kW to 310 KW (416 bhp) and peak torque is raised to 830 Nm from 760 Nm. As a result, the 5-door SUV can zip from standstill to 100 km/h within a claimed 4.9 seconds. The top speed remains limited to 180 km/h.

BRABUS Electric concept

The upgrade is designed to become active when the driver selects drive mode ‘S’ with the standard DYNAMIC SELECT switch. When drive mode ‘E’ is active, , the PowerXtra ELECTRIC upgrade offers ‘one pedal driving’, a feature often requested by drivers of electric vehicles. The SUV decelerates sharply when the driver just lifts off the accelerator pedal. This requires far less frequent use of the brakes in normal traffic and further increases the energy recovery rate.

BRABUS Electric concept

While the aerodynamic-enhancement kit with the exception of the already available rear spoiler is still under development, the appearance can already be upgraded with tailor-made BRABUS Monoblock Z alloy wheels with diameters of 20 or 21 inches. The eCrossover can be refined with two variants of the sporty and elegant 10-spoke design available for this model.

The BRABUS Monoblock Z PLATINUM EDITION wheels with 21-inch diameter are even more exclusive. The product of a high-tech forging process, these rims offer a combination of lightweight construction and maximum strength. The front axle runs on size 9Jx21 wheels with 255/40R21 ContiSportContact tyres of size. The rear fender wells accommodate forged 10.5Jx21 rims with tyres sized at 285/35R21.

BRABUS Electric concept

BRABUS Electric concept

As for all Mercedes-Benz models, BRABUS offers a host of custom refinement options for the interior of the EQC 400 4MATIC that include an exclusive fine leather interior crafted by the company’s own upholstery shop.

BRABUS offers exclusive options for the interior that create numerous possibilities for the customer. The line-up ranges from aluminium pedals and door-lock pins to scuff plates with backlit BRABUS logo in changing colours and a complete redesign of the cockpit.

Lister Motor Company, Britain’s oldest racing car company, has taken the wraps off what will be the country’s fastest and most powerful SUV. To be called the Lister Stealth, it is based on the Jaguar F-PACE SVR and has received upgrades the boost engine output and overall performance significantly.

As with all Lister models, exclusivity is guaranteed. Just 100 units will be available, each priced from £109,950 (about RM603,000), about 47% more than the F-PACE SVR in the UK showrooms.

2020 Lister Stealth

A standard Jaguar F-PACE SVR

2020 Lister Stealth

A company with lineage spanning nearly 7 decades, Lister is well known for such products. It has earlier developed the Jaguar F-TYPE SVR-based LFT-666 coupe and LFT-C convertible. Now, it is using the same expertise to develop the Stealth to claim the title of Britain’s fastest SUV.

Upgraded V8 engine
To achieve that required a thorough upgrade of the 5-litre supercharged V8 engine that comes in the production F-PACE SVR. The company’s team of highly experienced engineers set to work on the engine and cooling system to push its power level to 666 bhp/720 Nm – a 22% increase over the standard Jaguar.

The process began with a custom-built intercooler and high-performance air filtration system for optimising combustion temperatures and airflow into the unit. Upgraded dual supercharger pulleys have the cumulative effect of forcing more air into the combustion chamber for exceptional levels of performance for this vehicle segment.

2020 Lister Stealth

Like in the LFT-666 and LFT-C, Lister’s Engineering Team applied the brand’s proprietary Lister Engine Management System to the Stealth, modifying the programme mapping throughout the process to exploit the Stealth’s full capabilities.

The 5-seater Stealth will accelerate with the same urgency as a modern supercar and keep on going to its top speed claimed to be about 315 km/h. On the way there from standstill, it is said to pass 96 km/h within 3.6 seconds. These numbers would make it not only the fastest accelerating SUV Britain has ever produced but also the most powerful to date.

The Stealth adds proof to its claim of being Britain’s fastest SUV after recently beating rival super SUVs – the Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX and Bentley Bentayga – in a drag race at the renowned testing ground, VMAX200.

Handmade bodywork enhancements
The Lister Stealth showcases its intent with a number of handmade bodywork enhancements that not only exude visual appeal but also contribute to the car’s aerodynamic performance and engine cooling.

The redesigned carbonfibre front bumper features two large air intakes to aid airflow into the engine, while the front splitter increases aerodynamic efficiency at speed while adding to the Stealth’s dynamic handling. Uprated brakes, front and rear, ensure the Stealth stops as well as it accelerates.

A large carbonfibre rear diffuser sits in the middle of an exclusively sculpted rear bumper, creating additional downforce in tandem with the front splitter. Lister has also fitted a custom-designed, stainless-steel exhaust system (complete with carbonfibre tips) delivering gains in overall power output – while generating an unmistakable and thunderous soundtrack.

Completing the distinctive exterior look are matching side skirts and wider wheel arches to give a  purposeful stance. This is all complemented by bespoke, Lister-designed 23-inch Vossen forged wheels – the only element of the Stealth not made in the UK.

2020 Lister Stealth

Extensive personalisation offered
Alongside performance, luxury is one of the hallmarks of every Lister model. The Stealth features the highest-grade Bridge of Weir Nappa leather interior that is tailored to every customer’s specification. Up to 36 individual colour choices are available with a further 90 different stitching options covering all aspects of the cabin from the seatbelts, sport seats, dashboard, steering wheel and roof lining. With this level of customisation available, each Lister will boast its own unique identity that’s truly personal to each owner.

With the ENYAQ iV, the first all-electric SUV model from Skoda, the Czech carmaker is taking a fresh approach to lighting design. The new lighting units are technically innovative full-LED matrix headlights with an emotive design language.

According to Petr Nevrela, chief designer of exterior lighting at Skoda, the new headlights are another evolution in the company’s current design language. “We already consistently developed the front headlights of the Scala and Kamiq model series and the new generation of the Octavia. In all the models we have presented over the last 18 months, the headlights are generally flatter, resulting in an even more dynamic effect.”

2020 Skoda Enyaq iV

“The KAMIQ also adds its own twist with daytime running lights at the top. Furthermore, additional crystalline elements have been incorporated into the headlight design. With the ENYAQ iV, we are continuing this trend and refining specific details, such as the new, finely-drawn daytime running lights with subtle lashes and the new hexagonal shape of the main LED modules,” he explained.

The development of the design was done in close collaboration with the exterior designers and with the exterior lighting development team. Typically, the process can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months.

Skoda reflects the tradition of Bohemian crystal art in its vehicles and provides its own interpretation. The precise lines, geometric arrangements and the exceptionally clear glass surfaces are fascinating and, depending on the incidence of light and viewing angle, offer ever-changing facets. This can be used as a basis for experimenting with light effects, with the 3-dimensional rear lights that are illuminated with fine light strips.

The designers wanted the ENYAQ iV’s lighting graphics to be welcoming and friendly at first glance, while the headlights create a highly dynamic and modern look. Innovative LED technology also underlines the sustainable concept of Skoda’s first all-electric SUV.

Lexus, like most carmakers, saw the SUV trend surging upwards in the 1990s and to quickly have a representative in the growing segment, it introduced the LX in 1995. Largely adapted from the Toyota Land Cruiser, a well-proven model, the LX had all the qualities of a Lexus, especially luxury, and also off-road capability.

Meanwhile, Lexus was also developing an entirely new SUV which, like the Toyota RAV4, would start a new segment almost overnight. It was the RX and it introduced the premium SUV and other premium manufacturers would quickly follow.

2020 Lexus LX570

However, the LX remained as part of the Lexus range, continuously being improved and refined. Lexus has found there were still customers who wanted larger SUVs with up to three rows of seating, and the LX was an ideal product to offer.

“The Lexus LX 570 raises the level of sophistication of a very competent platform, ensuring that each journey you take, you remain ensconced in the pinnacle of automotive engineering. The Lexus logo on the characteristic spindle grille ensures you arrive in fashionable comfort and elegance,” said the Deputy Chairman of Lexus Malaysia, Akio Takeyama.

The third generation of the LX has been part of the Lexus SUV range in Malaysia since 2015, complementing the RX, NX and more recently, the UX.  For 2020, the model has received updates and an additional variant – the LX 570 Sport – is also available. Prices are expected to start from RM1,225,883 (excluding insurance with sales tax exemption applicable until the end of 2020) and bookings for the new model are now being accepted at all 6 authorised Lexus Centres nationwide.

Cosmetic updates
The LX570 has a clear brand identification with its spindle grille, appropriately sized to match the traditional SUV form. Measuring 5 metres in length and almost 2 metres in width, it is obviously a large vehicle and the engineers have done whatever is possible for aerodynamic efficiency.

For 2020, the turn signals glancing the LED headlights now have sequential illumination, a feature usually found on premium models. When activated, the driver’s intentions are more clearly relayed rather than just flashing amber lights.

Customers have a choice of exterior colours that now include Terrane Khaki Mica Metallic. The interior colours of Garnet, Sun Flare Brown and Ocher are used according to the choice of exterior colour.

LX570 Sport
The LX570 Sport has sportier bumpers and the spindle grille gets a different L-shaped block mesh design. Its 21-inch forged rims are also exclusively styled with a more open pattern for a sportier look.

Inside, the Lexus LX 570 Sport also gets an exclusive illuminated scuff plate, aluminium sports pedals with rubber inserts and door courtesy lamps with logo projection.

Biggest Lexus engine
The 3UR-FE engine is similar for the LX 570 and LX570 Sport. At 5.7 litres, it is the largest engine in the Lexus range and has a V8 configuration with advanced Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (Dual VVT-i). At its peak output, the engine generates 362 bhp with 530 Nm of torque and can reach up to 210 km/h, it is claimed.

With the LX 570 Sport, there is also a Front Performance Damper. This additional accessory enhances body rigidity for better handling and stability without sacrifice to the overall comfort of the vehicle. The Adaptive Variable Suspension adjusts the ride according to terrain and has four electronically-controlled off-road modes.

Lexus Safety System Plus
The LX 570 has Lexus Safety System Plus (LSS+) as standard and the active safety features now included as standard include Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Lane Departure Alert (LDA).
