Commenting on the latest promotions, Harald Hoelzl, MD of BMW Group Malaysia said: “2019 marks yet another milestone for us at MINI as we celebrate our 60^th year anniversary, and we want to extend that celebration to MINIacs across Malaysia who have helped grow our brand to where we are today. Taking the premium ownership experience to yet another level, we are introducing a limited-time offering for new owners of vehicles from the MINI portfolio.”

With The Great British Deal offered at all MINI dealerships, customers who purchase a new MINI can enjoy significantly lower monthly instalments, starting from RM2,388 with MINI Balloon Financing, at a lowered interest rate starting from 0.77% for MINI vehicles purchased from now to December 31, 2019. New owners will also enjoy insurance rebate of RM2,000 off MINI vehicles with the MINI Financing plan.

All newly-registered MINI vehicles come with a 4-Year Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service; 24-Hour Roadside Assistance and MINI Black Card membership.

And every customer who purchases any MINI model during the campaign period, an automatic contest entry will be entered for one lucky owner to win an all-expense-paid trip to Great Britain for two.

New Corporate Mobility Solutions programme for BMW Group Malaysia’s corporate customers

BMW Group Malaysia’s Corporate Programme has been enhanced with a new Corporate Mobility Solutions (CMS) programme. The new enhancement to the programme is designed to elevate the premium ownership experience for both BMW and MINI corporate customers.

MINIfest is back again to celebrate the MINI’s 60th anniversary

The Mini came on the scene 60 years ago and over 6 decades, the passion has endured for the little car that was loved by just about every class in society. Thousands of events have been held all over the world to celebrate anniversaries and this year, the MINIfest returns in Malaysia for the second time to celebrate the MINI’s 60th anniversary.

The event will be held on Saturday, September 7 2019 (12 noon to 7 pm) at the Indoor Arena of Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort, Jalan Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. It’s going to be a fun day for MINIacs as MINI Malaysia has planned a host of exciting activities, all MINI-themed.

MINI-styled marketplace
Don’t worry about filling up your stomach before going because there will be a special MINI-styled marketplace with delicious food from a variety of popular food trucks. Live music performances will keep the atmosphere lively all day long, and there will be thrilling rides and games. Early birds will also receive exclusive giveaways.

The highlight of MINIfest The 60 Years Special will be the new anniversary-exclusive MINI 60 Years Edition (pictured above) on display, along with MINI Classic cars. Test drives will also be available throughout the day for 10 different versions. These include the Cooper S 3-Door, Cooper S 5-Door, John Cooper Works Clubman as well as the Cooper S Countryman Pure that was unveiled this year.

60 Years Edition Cooper S to Celebrate MINI anniversary

The little car that was loved by school teachers, royalty, bank robbers, racing drivers, filmstars… in fact, just about every class in society all over the world accepted the Mini. Over the decades, it has evolved but has remained an icon of the automobile industry and this year, it celebrates its 60th anniversary.

To commemorate this occasion, MINI Malaysia is offering 60 units of a limited-edition collector’s version. It is only available as the MINI Cooper S 3 Door variant but customers have a colour choice of New British Racing Green with Pepper White roof and mirror caps, or Melting Silver with Jet Black roof and mirror caps. Signature black bonnet stripes with Aspen White and British Oak pinstripes further underline the exclusivity.

Nod to the past, looking to the future
“For over 60 years, MINI has captured the hearts of millions worldwide for its timeless motor racing spirit. With the MINI 60 Years Edition in the brighter and more eye-catching ‘New British Racing Green’ exterior paint finish, this exclusive model pays tribute to MINI’s British racing pedigree and paves the way for a new era. Captivating from every angle, the MINI 60 Years Edition radiates style and attitude – with a nod to the past, while looking towards an exciting future,” said Harald Hoelzl, MD of BMW Group Malaysia.

In conjunction with the 60 Years Chili equipment package, the MINI 60 Years Edition features LED headlights, LED foglamps, white turn indicators and LED rear lights in the Union Jack design.

The exclusive side scuttle badging, which bears the anniversary model’s distinctive 60 years insignia, provides great individuality, while the logo projection shines down from the exterior mirror. The rear spoiler and exclusive 17-inch light alloy wheels in the 60 Years Spoke 2-tone style contribute to the distinct look of the exclusive car.

60 years theme inside
Inside, there’s a sports steering wheel wrapped with hand-stitched MINI Yours Walknappa Leather bearing the 60 Years insignia on the lower spoke. The insignia also adorns the front door entry strips. Leather upholstery in the exclusive MINI Yours Lounge 60 Years Dark Maroon is complemented by bold stitching, paying tribute to MINI’s heritage in craftsmanship.

The Cooper S uses a 2-litre 4-cylinder MINI TwinPower Turbo engine (192 bhp/280 Nm) and a 7-speed DCT Steptronic Sports Transmission. It can rocket to 100 km/h from standstill in a claimed 6.7 seconds, reach 235 km/h and yet consume fuel at a rate of up to 18.2 kms/litre (when driven moderately, of course). Needless to say, its sports suspension settings provide performance-oriented driving that is as fun as exhilarating as driving a go-kart.

Those who purchase the MINI 60 Years Edition by August 31, 2019 can enjoy the 60 Months MINI Service + Repair Inclusive programme. The celebratory offer provides owners with 60 months or 80,000 kms (whichever comes first) of Free Scheduled Service and 60 months of Warranty with Unlimited Mileage. For purchases made after August 31, 2019, the MINI 60 Years Edition will be available with the MINI 4 Years Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service.

Easy Drive from BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia makes it possible to own the MINI 60 Years Edition paying monthly instalments from RM3,358 (terms and conditions apply). If you don’t need any financing package, then the full price of the car is RM255,888 (excluding insurance).

On MINI’s 60th anniversary, customers get a 60+60 deal

It’s been 60 years since the original Mini appeared on the roads and MINI Malaysia is celebrating the anniversary by giving customers a 60-month warranty (unlimited mileage) as well as 60 months of MINI Service + Repair Inclusive (MSR) Programme. The offer is for any new model or variant purchased and registered by August 31, 2019.

The 60 Months MINI Service + Repair Inclusive Programme is also applicable for fleet purchases, duty-exempted vehicles and the Returning Expert Programme (REP) customers.

“This year, we celebrate 60 years of British innovation, iconic design and thrilling go-kart handling. Since 1959, MINI has continued to push the boundaries whilst keeping the creative use of space, driving fun, style and individualisation at its core. As we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we are thrilled to extend the 60 Months MINI Service + Repair Inclusive Programme to all new MINI owners to deliver the complete Premium Ownership Experience,” said Harald Hoelzl, MD of BMW Group Malaysia.

Condition-based service approach
For those not familiar with the MSR Inclusive Programme, this uses a Condition Based Service (CBS) system, an approach that does not follow scheduled mileage or time intervals. Instead, maintenance is carried out based on the actual condition of the engine as it is used. Depending on how it is driven and other factors, the intervals could be longer or shorter.

The BMW Group was among the first manufacturers to introduce CBS in 2002 with the 7-Series. It was an evolution of BMW’s service indicator system and created a flexible, more economical maintenance schedule. Studies found that some owners enjoyed significant savings in maintenance costs in the longer run by not having to stick to scheduled service and replacement intervals.
