Yes, you read that right! Manual. 6-speed. Stick shift. Three pedals. Can we get a ‘dayummmm’ right about now?
Thanks to our friends at AutoIndustriya, here’s a few images of the updated 2019 Honda Civic Sport paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The only catch though is that it’s only available in the USA for now, and with only one engine option, the 2.0L petrol that produces 160Ps and 187Nm of torque.
If buyers want a manual Honda with a bit more oomph, there’s only the Civic Type R to opt for after this, which ain’t that bad either as we found out here.

Honda Malaysia has concluded the Joy of Buying contest with the prize-giving ceremony to present the seven grand prize winners with a brand new City each. Held from 1 September to 31 October 2018, the Joy of Buying contest was to celebrate Honda’s 70th Anniversary and Malaysia’s Unity. The contest also emphasizes the 3 Joys of Honda, which are Joy of Buying, Joy of Selling and Joy of Creating.
Honda Malaysia President and Chief Operating Officer, En. Roslan Abdullah (below) said, “This contest is an effort to show our sincere gratitude and appreciation to our beloved customers. It is the strong support of our customers that has enabled Honda Malaysia to be the No.1 brand in Non-National segment for three consecutive years. We would like to thank all our customers for believing in the Honda brand. We will continue to provide the Joy of Buying to our customers to meet their demand for greater customer satisfaction.”
The two-month Joy of Buying contest received more than 4,800 submissions nationwide, of which, a total of 301 winners have been chosen. In addition to the seven grand prize winners of a City each for 7 weeks, there are 17 winners in the second place who will receive a Sony Blu-ray Home Cinema System each and 277 other winners will be rewarded with Honda official merchandise.

Roslan also added, “This contest takes lead from our tagline, and seeks to find the most creative answer on “how the slogan ‘The Power of Dreams’ has changed the customer’s way of life.” The Power of Dreams has inspired Honda to what it is today, turning a dream into reality as we aspire to provide mobility solutions to make lives better.”
The City has maintained its leadership No. 1 position in the B-segment and it is Honda Malaysia’s best-selling model. This year, the model has contributed more than 30,200 units sold or 32% to the total Honda Malaysia sales from January to November, making it the highest sales unit contributor during this period.

Honda Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (Honda Malaysia) has officially launched its latest Honda 3S Centre located in Pasir Gudang, Johor by Yong Ming Motor Sdn. Bhd. (Yong Ming Motor). With this opening, Honda Malaysia has 97 dealerships nationwide with 12 dealerships in Johor to-date to provide easier accessibility and more convenience to customers.
Yong Ming Motor invested a total of RM18.5 million into the 77,000-square foot building in Pasir Gudang that is equipped with latest facilities and equipment. This 4-storey building (including basement parking) houses 14 bays, comprising 9 Service Bays, 3 General Repair Bays and 2 Tyre Service Bays that can accommodate up to 30 cars per day. On top of that, the new Honda 3S Centre has conducive and comfortable lounges especially for customers to relax in or catch up on work. There is also a free flow of food and beverage for customers to enjoy, Kids Corner and appropriately-assigned prayer rooms for Muslims to perform their prayers while waiting for their cars to be serviced.
Yong Ming Motor has a well-established relationship with Honda for over 48 years and the opening of this new Honda 3S Centre in Pasir Gudang marks its second Honda dealership. The first Yong Ming Motor Honda dealership opened in Skudai, where they have maintained high quality sales and after-sales service which has enabled them to consistently emerge as a top dealer. Based on the record, the after-sales intake rose 51% in the past five years. From January to November of 2018, the southern region alone recorded over 235,000 service intakes, an increase of 13% against the same period last year.
In terms of sales performance by region, the southern region was the second highest contributor with more than 17,000 units sold from January to October 2018 an increase of 2% when compared to the same period in 2017. This achievement is largely thanks to the Johor state which was the highest contributor to the southern region, accounting for over 12,000 units sold. Model-wise, the B-segment leader, City tops the chart as the best-selling model in the southern region. This model contributed 24% to the total southern region sales followed by Civic and CR-V which contributed 11% and 9% respectively to the regional sales units during this period.

One of the things that was playing at the back of our minds in regards to KLIMS 2018, was how it was going to be insofar as crowd attendance was concerned. And with that in mind, we headed back to MITEC, the new venue of the KL International Motorshow, on Sunday 25th, technically the first weekend of the show. This is what it looked like! Wait for the surprise at the end…
Another big surprise was the appearance of the Proton R3 Racing Team (below), who’d just won the S1K, or Sepang 1000km Race the day before, and we managed to catch their full interview and meet-the-fans session at the Proton pavilion…
Of course as expected the crowd at the abovementioned Proton pavilion was massive, packed with those who came to see the new X70 SUV, which will be officially launched on 12th December (probably at KL Convention Centre) during which Proton will FINALLY reveal its price…
The 2-wheel section of KLIMS was participated by Kawasaki Malaysia, Benelli and Honda, who showcased the awesome new GoldWing Tourer, remarkable…
It was also heartening to see that Peugeot was getting quite a lot of visitors, many were enthralled by the new Peugeot 308 GTi…
Unfortunately, as previously mentioned, there is no official Supercar representation at KLIMS 2018, however, thanks to the ‘peripheral’ pavilions, there was still some eye-candy to ogle… we’re referring to the cars of course…
