This groundbreaking facility is built upon customer-centric Retail.NEXT concept, is poised to become one of the largest BMW Group showrooms in the country and a pioneer in the Klang Valley, introducing the newest Retail.NEXT innovative design concept and service offerings.

Encompassing an expansive 240,057 square feet, the soon-to-be-opened Auto Bavaria Balakong is designed to embody the first-class atmosphere synonymous with the Premium Ownership Experience. The modern design language, coupled with a lush façade featuring a captivating courtyard garden and outdoor terrace, will create an inviting and luxurious ambience.

The showroom’s layout incorporates interactive Customer Consultation Stages strategically placed throughout the space. These stages are equipped with innovative digital sales tools, and BMW Geniuses will be readily available to guide visitors through an unparalleled automotive viewing and purchasing journey.

BMW Group Malaysia Achieves Record-breaking Performance in 2023

In a year marked by exceptional business performance, BMW Group Malaysia celebrated the delivery of over 15,000 units of BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad vehicles in 2023. This accomplishment reinforces the premium automaker’s stronghold as Malaysia’s Number One Premium Automaker for the fourth consecutive year.

As part of their 20th Year Anniversary in the country, BMW Group Malaysia not only excelled in overall vehicle deliveries but also emerged as the leading Premium Electric Vehicle Provider. Over 3,600 electrifying units of BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad vehicles were delivered, constituting an impressive 24.5% of all deliveries and reflecting a remarkable 136% growth compared to the previous year. This brings the total of premium electrified BMW vehicles on Malaysian roads to nearly 30,000, contributing significantly to the future of electrified mobility in the country.

 

The BMW brand achieved the successful delivery of nearly 11,700 premium luxury vehicles, while MINI, Malaysia’s sophisticated compact premium automotive brand, recorded a notable growth of 42%, delivering more than 1,700 vehicles. BMW Motorrad experienced an upward growth of 13%, delivering over 1,500 motorcycles. Overall, there was an almost 4% increase in total deliveries across the BMW Group portfolio from the year 2022.

BMW Malaysia Memperkenalkan X5 xDrive50e M Sport Yang Dipasang Di Malaysia

Menyusuli kejayaan BMW X5 dalam pasaran Malaysia pada tahun 2023, BMW Malaysia juga telah menyingkap varian ‘plug-in’ hibrid jentera Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) terbaharu mereka yang paling cemerlang, iaitu BMW X5 xDrive50e yang turut dipasang di dalam negara. Hadir dengan pakej M Sport secara standard, BMW X5 xDrive50e baharu melihat pengemaskinian yang signifikan dari segi prestasi dan keefisienan, memuatkan lebih banyak kuasa dengan jarak operasi elektrik yang lebih tinggi, tanpa mengkompromikan keelegenan dan kemegahannya.

Dari sudut dinamik pemanduan, BMW X5 xDrive50e M baharu didatangkan dengan rangkaian kuasa PHEV yang mampu membekalkan output gabungan berjumlah 489hp – iaitu 96hp lebih tinggi berbanding model terdahulu, juga dengan tork yang lebih tinggi kini berjumlah 700Nm.

Output gabungan enjin petrol enam sebaris 3.0 liter serta motor elektriknya yang hebat membolehkan BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport baharu membuat pecutan abad dalam masa 4.8 saat. Daya elektrik jentera PHEV ini juga telah dinaik taraf, memberikannya jarak operasi elektrik sejauh 110 km (WLTP), di samping penambahbaikan sebanyak 7.4 kW dalam aspek pengecasan, membolehkan jentera ini dicas dari 0-100% hanya dalam tempoh 4.5 jam.

Di dalam kabin BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport yang mengagumkan ini, terletak BMW Curved Display 14.9 inci dengan kluster paparan digital penuh yang sedia untuk diakses oleh pemandu, kini memuatkan BMW Operating System 8.5. Ia termasuk BMW Live Cockpit Professional dan panel instrumen BMW yang menyokong pelbagai kaedah interaksi di antara pengguna dan kenderaan ini, yakni melalui iDrive Controller, suara, sentuhan atau dengan menggunakan Gesture Control. Light Bar dengan struktur permukaan berhablur, serta sistem bunyi keliling Harman Kardon turut didatangkan secara standard.

Konsol sentral di dalam BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport baharu juga kini menampilkan tata atur baharu serta butang fungsi sentuh tambahan, dan penukaran gear kini dibuat dengan suis jumpelang (rocker switch). In the wake of the resounding success of the BMW X5 in the Malaysian market in 2023, BMW Malaysia has given a sneak peek into the facelifted Plug-in Hybrid variant of their most successful premium Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV): the locally assembled BMW X5 xDrive50e. With the M Sport package as standard, the new BMW X5 xDrive50e promises significant updates in both performance and efficiency, embodying a blend of power and electric range that redefines modern athletic elegance.

The driving force behind the New BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport is its enhanced PHEV powertrain. It delivers a remarkable combined output of 489hp – a substantial 96hp more than its predecessor – and an upgraded 700Nm of torque. This powerhouse, consisting of a 3.0-litre straight-six petrol engine and a robust electric motor, propels the SAV from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds. The electric capabilities receive a boost, offering an electric range of up to 110km (WLTP) and an improved 7.4 kW of charging, ensuring a swift 0-100% charge in only 4.5 hours.

Inside the cabin, the X5 boasts a superbly crafted interior featuring a 14.9-inch BMW Curved Display with a fully digital display cluster. Enhanced by the advanced BMW Operating System 8.5, the display includes the BMW Live Cockpit Professional and BMW instrument panel, supporting various interaction methods such as iDrive Controller, voice, touch, or optional Gesture Control. Standard features include an ambient Light Bar with a crystalline surface structure and a Harman Kardon Surround sound system. Auto Bavaria Introduces Services for Classic BMW’s and Mini’s

Auto Bavaria, a BMW and Mini dealership in Malaysia, has become the country’s first dealership to offer specialized services dedicated to BMW and Mini models that have achieved Classic Status. This initiative, commencing operations from November 26, 2023, aims to cater to the needs of classic car enthusiasts.

The service offering, located at Auto Bavaria’s Ara Damansara dealership, is designed for BMW and Mini classic cars defined by the BMW Group as those that have surpassed 15 years after the last series production date. The dedicated team at the Ara Damansara dealership includes two work bays, two skilled technicians, a foreman, and two service advisors.

BMW Trademarks “iM3” for Future Electric M3 Model

BMW is taking a significant step in its electric vehicle (EV) lineup, and recent trademark applications suggest that the nomenclature for its forthcoming EVs will maintain simplicity. Notably, the electric 5 Series will adopt the straightforward moniker of the i5. Now, BMW is gearing up for the release of an electric M3, with a trademark application filed for the name “iM3” in Germany.

While BMW had the option to follow its high-performance SUV naming convention, such as using “i3 M,” it appears the company is leaning towards the iM3 designation. Despite the potential pronunciation quirk in English, where it sounds like “I am three,” BMW has a history of unique nomenclature, evident in models like the i8.

BMW’s M division has been vocal about its commitment to electrification. It’s important to note that while the i4 M50 exists in the lineup, it falls under the M Performance category, not a full-fledged M Car.

Last summer, BMW disclosed its development of a four-motor powertrain, currently undergoing testing in the i4 M50. This advanced powertrain is expected to find its way into the upcoming electric M3, likely built on BMW’s new Neue Klasse platform.

As of now, BMW has not provided a specific timeline for the release of the electric M3 or the introduction of a new electric 3 Series. Expectations suggest a wait of at least a couple of years. However, if the recent trademark is any indication, the electric M3 might don the distinctive iM3 moniker when it finally hits the market.
