Chery Corporate Malaysia has concluded the full handover of 50 vehicles under its Temporary Vehicle Assistance Programme, offering crucial support to families affected by the recent gas explosion in Putra Heights, Selangor. The initiative was launched on 2 April, a day after the devastating incident, and underscores Chery’s ongoing commitment to community relief efforts during times of crisis.
The programme was established to restore mobility to those who lost their homes and transport, ensuring affected families could resume essential daily routines such as commuting, school drop-offs, and medical visits. Chery delivered the first batch of 25 vehicles on 4 April, with the remaining 25 handed over on 9 April to complete the distribution.
The initiative was conducted in collaboration with the office of Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Selangor State Executive Councillor for Investment, Trade and Mobility YB Ng Sze Han, as well as local authorities. Their joint efforts ensured the smooth coordination and timely rollout of the vehicle distribution to the impacted families.
