Perodua Has Delivered Over 200,000 Vehicles In 10 Months

The cumulative sales volume of Perodua crossed the 200,000 mark at the end of last month, reaching a total of 222,203 vehicles delivered nationwide since January. The 10-month volume, when compared to the same period in 2021, was 51.2% higher but it should be remembered that there were lockdowns that limited business activities last year.

“There was a gap in sales between June and August last year due to the lockdown imposed by the government to contain COVID-19 cases. Moving forward, we expect the registration momentum to continue upwards until the end of the year,” said Perodua President & CEO, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

EX90 – Volvo’s New Flagship Electric SUV

20 years after Volvo introduced its first SUV, the Swedish carmaker begins a new era with a totally new SUV that takes it into a fully electric future. Unveiled today in Sweden, the new EX90 is the first of a series of models that will enter the market at the rate of one per year. Volvo has declared that by 2030, it will sell only zero emission electric vehicles – one of the most ambitious electrification blueprints in the automotive industry.

“The Volvo EX90 is a statement for where we are, and where we are going,” said Jim Rowan, Volvo’s CEO. “It’s fully electric with a range of up to 600 kilometres on a single charge, designed to further raise our safety standards, the first Volvo car to be truly defined by its software and part of a wider ecosystem, connecting to your home and your other devices. The Volvo EX90 is the start of something new for Volvo Cars in many ways.”

Fuel Price Updates For November 10 – November 16, 2022

With elections just around the corner, the caretaker government may be trying not to raise the price of RON97 petrol. So there are again no changes in fuel prices for the following week, even for the unsubsidized fuel which remains just below the RM4/litre level, based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism. Other grades continue to be subsidised by the government to maintain pump prices at a fixed level.

Toyota/Lexus Sales Stay Above 9,000 Units For Third month

After completing 10 months of sales, Toyota continues to lead among non-national brands in Malaysia, with a cumulative volume from January to October 2022 reaching 79,308 units. The brand has consistently been a market leader throughout the year, especially in the pick-up truck segment.

Continuing the positive upward trend which started at the beginning of the year, the October sales volume of new vehicles delivered by UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) was 9,281 units, (9,175 of Toyota brand and 106 of Lexus brand). It was the third month of sales volume being above 9,000 units this year. Compared to the sales volumes in September 2022, the October sales volume of 9,281 units was 0.5% higher.

CT-1 – The Shape-Shifting Microcar For Urban Mobility
