Mini Malaysia has unveiled the New Mini Aceman, marking its debut as the brand’s first fully electric compact crossover. This innovative model blends the classic Mini styling with a fresh emphasis on sustainable urban mobility, powered by an all-electric drive system. Alongside this, Mini also previewed the New Mini Cooper S 5-Door, which enhances the practicality of the iconic 3-Door model while retaining Mini’s hallmark design and driving experience.

New Mini Aceman: Electrifying Innovation
The New Mini Aceman introduces Mini’s first all-electric crossover in the premium small car segment, combining compact size with spacious comfort. Powered by a 218hp motor, it accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 7.1 seconds and offers a driving range of up to 406km (WLTP), thanks to its 54.2 kWh high-voltage battery. It supports DC fast charging of up to 95kW, enabling a quick 10-80% charge in 30 minutes.

The Kajang-Seremban (LEKAS) Highway will be temporarily closed this Saturday, starting from 5 pm until 4 am on Sunday, to accommodate the RHB LEKAS Highway Ride 2024 cycling race. According to Kajang district police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof, the event is scheduled to begin at 7.45pm on Saturday, and several key routes will be impacted during this period.

  1. Kilometre 2 of the LEKAS Highway (towards Seremban)
  2. LEKAS Highway (towards Bandar Teknologi)
  3. LEKAS Highway entrance to Semenyih
  4. LEKAS Highway to Ecohill

  6. Jalan Eco Majestic (leading to LEKAS Highway)

UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT) has reported impressive sales figures for September 2024, with approximately 7,700 units sold, bringing the year-to-date (YTD) total to over 72,000 units. This sustained growth highlights UMWT’s strong standing in the Malaysian automotive market, driven by its reliable and innovative vehicle lineup.

The Toyota Vios, Hilux, and Corolla Cross led the sales, accounting for 69% of units sold, underscoring the trust Malaysian consumers place in Toyota for quality, durability, and performance. These models cater to a wide range of customer needs, from urban commutes to off-road adventures.

Sime Darby Motors, the official distributor of BYD vehicles in Malaysia, recently celebrated a significant achievement, surpassing 10,000 BYD cars sold nationwide. To commemorate this milestone, Sime Darby Motors hosted a special event called the ‘BYD Dream Drive Melaka 2024’, a convoy drive involving more than 60 BYD vehicles. The convoy departed from the BYD showroom in Ara Damansara and headed to Melaka for an exciting two-day, one-night journey. The choice of Melaka as the destination was particularly meaningful, as it coincided with the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations, celebrating historical ties between the two nations.

During their stay in Melaka, participants enjoyed cultural activities, including a visit to Encore Melaka to watch the Puteri Hang Li Po Musical Theatre, a performance based on the historical story of Sultan Mansur Shah and Princess Hang Li Po from China’s Ming Dynasty. This cultural highlight reinforced the significance of the golden anniversary of Malaysia-China relations.
