F1 (Round 4): Preview & Starting Positions Of 2023 Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Following a 4-week break, the 2023 Formula 1 World Championship returns for the fourth round in at the Baku City Circuit in Azerbaijan. This is the seventh time that Azerbaijan is having a F1 round since the first one in 2016, which was actually the European Grand Prix. The 2020 round had to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This weekend’s racing will also see the first of six Sprint races for 2023, as well as mark the debut of a new standalone Sprint format, including a Sprint Shootout qualifying session. The objective of this new format is to separate the Sprint and the GP more distinctively, increasing the level of intensity across the weekend and encourage the drivers to push harder.

Daihatsu Rigged Safety-Crash Test For 88,000 Cars – Perodua Axia Affected

In side-collision safety tests for over 88,000 small cars, the majority of which were sold under the Toyota brand, Daihatsu, a subsidiary of Toyota Motor Corp, rigged part of the door, the companies said in a statement to Reuters yesterday.

According to them, the door trim on the affected vehicles had been altered with a “notch” to reduce the chance that the door inside could break with a sharp edge and hurt an occupant during testing when the side airbag deployed.

Aston Martin Works Helps Owners of Classic Models Preserve Their Cars

Owners of classic cars, especially the much sought-after models, have kept their cars for years and while they may not be driven much. Some parts may deteriorate over time. Or when purchased after many years of use, some components were already worn out and replacement parts were increasingly difficult to find.

Naturally, if you own a classic model, you want every bit of it to be as original as possible. But if the original manufacturer no longer makes those parts (industry norms for producing replacements parts are usually up to 10 years after production of the model stops), then it has to be retained and preserved.

For owners of classic Aston Martin models, there’s some good news from Aston Martin Works which will help to future-proof their cars. The company will, for the first time in decades, manufacture a number of components for models such as the DB4, DB5, DB6 and some V8 models from the 1960s and 1970s.

Genesis X Convertible Almost Ready For Production & It Looks Amazing!

The fact that Hyundai has submitted a trademark application to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the character logo “GT90 Genesis” suggests that the Korean automaker may be preparing to release a grand tourer based on one of the Speedium ideas. Sports cars and automobiles are covered by the filing.

Hyundai has previously indicated an interest in using the GT90 name. In 2017, the business asked to reserve the term “Genesis GT90,” and in 2020, it asked to reserve the same GT90 Genesis emblem in a number of categories other than sports cars. Even while filing for a trademark does not ensure that it will be used, it shows that Hyundai is committed to creating a car with this name.

New Joint Venture Between Honda and GS Yuasa To Build Battery Factory in Japan

Being able to develop electric vehicles (EVs) is a vital expertise for carmakers as the industry speeds towards electrification of its products. However, just as vehicles with internal combustion engines are useless without liquid fuel, EVs will not run without electricity. The electricity can come from various sources – even the sun – but what’s more important is being able to store the energy.

That’s where batteries come in and currently, there is much focus on the development of batteries for EVs, with the technology advancing very quickly. As we have seen with the shortage of microprocessors disrupting vehicle production globally, a shortage of batteries would also mean EVs cannot leave the factory, even if the vehicle is completed.

For this reason, the major carmakers have looked for ways to secure supply of batteries for coming years as demand for EVs increases rapidly. The biggest companies have established their own subsidiaries to develop and manufacture batteries, setting up factories around the world to ensure that different regions are covered.

Hyundai’s e-Corner System Lets You Drive Sideways!

Having trouble with parallel parking? No worries, Hyundai has got your back! Hyundai Mobis, the automotive supply and technology arm of the Hyundai Group, is making progress with the development of its e-Corner module.

What is an e-Corner system? Well, think of it as a crab walk. A new steering technology from Hyundai that allows for separate wheel operation enables manoeuvres that may not have been possible in the past. Both the Hummer EV and GMC’s Sierra EV can crab walk, though not up to 90 degrees. Hyundai has improved the existing system and has made it way better.
