To celebrate the 50th anniversary of James Bond film, “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”, 50 On Her Majesty’s Secret Service DBS Superleggera special edition cars will be sold. Painted Olive Green to match the original 1969 Aston Martin DBS driven by James Bond in the movie, the new models will take the menacing road presence of the DBS Superleggera to a new level of brutish elegance. The latest Renault Mégane R.S. Trophy R has simultaneously set a new record at Nürburgring for the fastest lap time set by a front-wheel-drive production car and dethrone the previous king, the Honda Civic Type R.
On 5th April 2019 the Mégane R.S. Trophy-R set a new all-time record for front-wheel-drive production cars on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, now a world-renowned proving ground. It covered the 20.600 km in 07’40’’100, and the official whole lap length of the Nordschleife 20.832 km in just 07’45’’389. (more…)
