Free vehicle inspection at PUSPAKOM, 24 May – 2 June 2019

Raya Aidilfitri is so close right now, we can all smell that rendang and lemang cooking up a storm across the country. PUSPAKOM wants to help you out by providing free voluntary vehicle inspection for all those who wish to check if their vehicles are up to its safety standards for that ‘balik kampung’ journey.

The 10-day period has already started and those interested can just head on over to any of the 54 PUSPAKOM vehicle inspection centres located around Malaysia from now until 2 June 2019 (except for Shah Alam and Pasir Gudang, unless you drive a bus or lorry). (more…)

Toyota & Shell launches ‘Balik Kampung Safety Campaign’

Brace yourselves, the long holiday is coming. And with long holidays comes long journeys and to ensure that your journeys are as safe as possible, UMW Toyota and Shell Malaysia have teamed up to launch the ‘Balik Kampung Safety Campaign’ by helping out with their vehicles.

How will this ‘help’ be provided? Well, how about a free 36-point vehicle inspection for ALL car brands? That’s right, the very first safety campaign launched by Toyota and Shell are offering 36-point free inspections to vehicles of all makes at 20 selected Shell stations nationwide which will be done by trained personnel from Toyota, from now until 2 June 2019. Ferrari wins four awards at the International Engine & Powertrain of the Year

Ferrari has bagged four different awards this week at the 21^st International Engine & Powertrain of the Year but none more triumphant than being awarded with the overall title for four years in a row. This is all thanks to Ferrari’s 3.9-litre V8 engine which was constructed so beautifully, it achieved more than any other engines could. (more…)

Shell Malaysia launches ‘Anda Beli, Kami Derma’ campaign

In conjunction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri (and of course, people’s innate nature to do good), Shell Malaysia is proud to announce their latest Raya CSR (corporate social responsibility) campaign that is the ‘Anda Beli, Kami Derma’ or ‘You Buy, We Donate’ initiative.

The most recent collaboration between Aston Martin and EON Productions will see the fantastic Aston Martin DBS Superleggera as the latest James Bond inspired vehicle of choice and they will be on sale later this year, ladies and gentlemen.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of James Bond film, “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”, 50 On Her Majesty’s Secret Service DBS Superleggera special edition cars will be sold. Painted Olive Green to match the original 1969 Aston Martin DBS driven by James Bond in the movie, the new models will take the menacing road presence of the DBS Superleggera to a new level of brutish elegance. Renault Mégane R.S. Trophy R sets new record at Nürburgring

The latest Renault Mégane R.S. Trophy R has simultaneously set a new record at Nürburgring for the fastest lap time set by a front-wheel-drive production car and dethrone the previous king, the Honda Civic Type R.

On 5th April 2019 the Mégane R.S. Trophy-R set a new all-time record for front-wheel-drive production cars on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, now a world-renowned proving ground. It covered the 20.600 km in 07’40’’100, and the official whole lap length of the Nordschleife 20.832 km in just 07’45’’389. (more…)
