With the introduction of the BMW 7-Series Security Vehicle in 1978, BMW has more than 40 years of experience producing armoured vehicles. Up to the 2004 release of the BMW X5 Security, two more generations of the 7-Series would go on to be used as security cars. Since then, the 7-Series and X5 have both remained in the company’s lineup of armoured vehicles.

The new BMW 7-Series Protection is the first armoured version of the current generation of the 7-Series. There is also a protection model for the electric BMW i7. The doors, underbody, and roof of each model are strengthened by the addition of an armoured steel body known as the BMW Protection Core.

The Volkswagen Golf R represents the most potent of the Golf range. Offering the brand’s sportiest and most emotionally stirring driving experience, and perhaps motivating generations of hatchback aficionados as well as other car makers to follow suite.

The R32, which was introduced more than 20 years ago and had a 3.2-litre naturally aspirated version of Volkswagen’s distinctive VR6 engine, is where the Golf R’s genealogy begins. Additionally, the R32 was also the first Volkswagen to come with a dual-clutch gearbox. The R torch was later carried on by the Mk 6 and the Mk 7.

For the first time, the BMW 5 Series Sedan will be available in China with both combustion engines and an all-electric variant, the BMW i5. BMW has been teasing an electric 5 series for more than six years, and last month the BMW i5’s official manufacturing started.

According to Transport Minister Anthony Loke, online payment for the renewal of the Motor Vehicle Licence (LKM) and Malaysian Driving Licence (LMM) will be announced following the completion of the Proof of Concept (POC) implementation.

This is to ensure a smooth system launch on the MyJPJ application and to keep it from crashing due to significant traffic. The department previously reported that about three million people have downloaded the app, which is required to access the digital versions of the road tax and driving licence.

Loke stated that the ministry had not yet established a deadline for the complete switchover to the e-LKM and that car owners might still choose to utilise the physical road tax. Only 30% of car owners, according to JPJ data, have so far chosen to pay the digital road tax.

Vehicle owners can still apply for a hard copy of their licence and road tax since it will take time for individuals to adapt to a digital copy. If the people wish to drive in a nation that needs a physical licence, they may still ask for one at RTD counters while renewing their licence because the ministry has not ceased issuing them.

Loke stated that this online payment system through the MyJPJ application will be launched in a few months.

Prior to this, we got to see the exterior of the smart #1 in the metal. However, the interior had not been revealed yet due to it undergoing “updates and modifications” for it to be ‘locally friendly’.

Subang airport will soon undergo an extensive rebuild that will once again make it one of the major airports in the country and perhaps also the region.

It is said that the redevelopment of Subang Airport will not reduce passenger traffic at Kuala Lumpur International Airport because the former’s terminal will have a restricted capacity of eight million passengers per year. So there is no chance of cannibalising KLIA or KLIA2.

According to NST, after the reconstruction, the new Premium Green City Airport in Subang will be unable to grow further and once the new terminal is constructed, there will be no more land available.
