Before going plug-in hybrid and eventually entirely electric by 2030, Audi plans to deliver a more potent version of its legendary five-cylinder engine.

The head of Audi Sport, Sebastian Grams, has disclosed that the company is still working on a final iteration of the engine and will boost its power for the following stage. The 5-cylinder engine will be upgraded in the upcoming years, according to Grams. He did not give any specifics regarding the enhancements, although he did say that the engine does not need to be changed entirely.

Electric vehicles require special handling when operating and maintaining them because they are intricate. Thus, navigational software is crucial to an EV. That has been General Motors‘ justification for excluding CarPlay and Android Auto from its next models and directing owners to its own Google-based built-in map app instead.

But Porsche has revealed that the Taycan now supports Apple Maps EV routing as a reminder that enabling CarPlay doesn’t always mean giving up such services.

Musk has long opposed advertising Tesla vehicles, tweeting in 2019 that he “hates advertising” and that “we use that money to make the product great.”

However, Musk has now hinted to a Tesla advertising venture during a shareholder meeting on Tuesday. Tesla has historically avoided traditional promotion and has grown primarily by word of mouth over the years. Musk, on the other hand, appears to have realised the importance of the advertising business now that he controls Twitter.

The Daihatsu Crash Gate scandal last month revealed a number of irregularities about the Japanese car maker. The scandal was hugely embarrassing for the company and for its parent company Toyota.

But the company is committed to eradicating any and all forms or irregularities from its business, according to a report uploaded to its website.

The road transport department (JPJ) is one of the government’s top revenue generators because of its collections. According to its director-general, Datuk Zailani Hashim, the department’s revenue collection last year ranked third among government entities in terms of revenues generated.

They made RM4.92 billion in revenue last year. But this year, they are apparently sure that they will be able to collect more than RM5 billion, taking into account the digitalization efforts and programmes that JPJ has established for the community.

TC Euro Cars (TCEC), the sole franchise holder of Renault automobiles in Malaysia, has officially launched the new Renault Zoe 100% Electric, with confirmed pricing and specifications, as well as subscription plans ranging from 12 to 36 months.

The Renault Zoe was introduced in Malaysia in 2022 and comes in two variants: the Zoe R110 base variant and the higher-spec Zoe R135.
