Proton has been teasing the eMas 7 for many months now. But it has been Proton's standard style of launching new models now, multiple teasers, roadshows and media test drives.

But the eMas 7 is a big deal because it marks the first electric vehicle to carry the Proton badge. And despite what Proton has been saying, the eMas 7 is actually a Geely product, particularly the E5, with little to no input from Proton itself. Not even the styling.
