Bermaz Unveils Striking Mazda3 Concept Prototype

Bermaz Motor Trading Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor of Mazda vehicles in Malaysia, has lifted the covers on an eye-catching new prototype, the Mazda3 Concept, at the Bermaz Auto Showcase. Developed by the company’s dedicated MazdaSports Division, the concept pays homage to the original Mazda3 MS Edition introduced in 2016, while charting a bold new direction for the brand’s approach to design and driver-focused innovation.

Reviving the spirit of the original MS Edition — which was engineered to reignite the passion of Mazda enthusiasts with its sporty character — the 2025 Mazda3 Concept goes several steps further. It redefines the Jinba-Ittai philosophy of unity between car and driver through a more aggressive evolution of the Kodo design language, and a series of enhancements that reflect Bermaz’s commitment to personalised, performance-oriented vehicles.

Visually, the Mazda3 Concept commands attention. It rides on Enkei Tuning SC22 wheels finished in Matte Gunmetal, contributing not only to its assertive stance but also enhancing handling characteristics that align with Mazda’s dynamic driving ethos. Braking performance is significantly elevated through the use of Endless Super Street S-Sports Brake Pads, which offer improved stability under pressure, high fade resistance, and everyday comfort — underscoring the concept’s suitability for discerning drivers who value control and confidence.

A bespoke piano black body kit reinforces the model’s performance-driven aesthetic, with a sharper aerodynamic profile that enhances both styling and airflow. A redesigned rear spoiler lends the vehicle a more athletic silhouette while also aiding high-speed stability. Meanwhile, the inclusion of an enlarged exhaust tip and a front strut bar bearing the MS insignia highlights its motorsport-inspired detailing.

Inside, the cabin mirrors the aggressive yet refined tone of the exterior. The seats are upholstered in suede and feature a bold red centre stripe, offering a balance of visual appeal and ergonomic comfort. The steering wheel is similarly wrapped in suede, designed to improve grip and steering feedback. Complementing the interior is a set of exclusive body vinyl stickers, seamlessly integrating the vehicle’s bespoke interior and exterior elements to create a cohesive visual identity.

Under the surface, the prototype showcases enhanced chassis and suspension tuning, fine-tuned to deliver improved ride quality and driving engagement. This careful calibration ensures the Mazda3 Concept retains the brand’s hallmark driving dynamics, while elevating refinement and responsiveness. The use of premium materials and detailed craftsmanship further reinforces the brand’s pursuit of performance excellence and aesthetic sophistication.

Although still a prototype, the Mazda3 Concept represents Bermaz’s forward-looking approach to personalised performance vehicles. It is more than just a visual or mechanical showcase — it is a testament to innovation, driver engagement, and the brand’s ongoing commitment to its enthusiast community.

The Mazda3 Concept is currently on display at the Bermaz Auto Showcase, offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience the concept up close and explore the brand’s future design direction. The showcase takes place at two major locations: from 10 to 13 April at the LG Oval Concourse of 1 Utama Shopping Centre in Petaling Jaya, and from 16 to 20 April at the G Floor Main Atrium of Queensbay Mall in Penang. The exhibition is open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

This exclusive preview not only underscores Mazda’s vision of performance and craftsmanship, but also offers a glimpse into the potential personalisation possibilities of future Mazda models.
