Berjaya Assets and Jetour Malaysia Forge Strategic CKD Partnership

In a landmark move set to reshape Malaysia’s automotive landscape, Berjaya Corporation Bhd’s Founder and Advisor, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun, joined Mr. Ke Chuandeng, Vice President of Jetour Auto, to officiate the signing of a strategic agreement between Berjaya Assembly Sdn Bhd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Berjaya Assets Bhd) and Jetour Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone, focusing on Completely Knocked Down (CKD) projects and the introduction of Jetour’s next-generation vehicles to the Malaysian market. The agreement is poised to catalyse local assembly operations and position Malaysia as a key hub for Jetour’s expansion across Southeast Asia.

Advancing Industry 4.0 Manufacturing

Central to the partnership is a shared commitment to Industry 4.0 principles, incorporating cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and robotics into the manufacturing ecosystem. This integration aims to optimise productivity, boost flexibility, and support Malaysia’s ambitions to become a leader in smart, sustainable automotive manufacturing.

Jetour’s increased investment will drive localisation, expand the supplier base, and open up new employment opportunities, supporting economic growth and innovation in the sector.

Jetour Dashing: A Bold Entry into Malaysia’s SUV Market

Coinciding with this strategic alliance, Jetour Malaysia officially launched the Dashing SUV, its first model for the Malaysian market. Set to be available nationwide from April 2025, the Dashing marks a bold new presence in Malaysia’s competitive SUV segment.

To support its market entry, Jetour has rapidly scaled its infrastructure with 15 operational sales and service outlets and plans to open 30 additional 4S and 3S centres by the end of 2025. These centres will be strategically located across Peninsular and East Malaysia, including Selangor, Penang, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak, ensuring accessibility and convenience for customers.

Jetour has also prioritised after-sales support, establishing a robust nationwide spare parts inventory to deliver peace of mind and long-term reliability for owners.

A Vision for a Smarter Automotive Future

This collaboration between Berjaya and Jetour not only strengthens Jetour’s local footprint but also positions Malaysia at the forefront of next-generation automotive manufacturing. By fusing global innovation with local expertise, the initiative supports a vibrant ecosystem of technological excellence, job creation, and supply chain development.

As CKD operations ramp up, the partnership is set to accelerate Malaysia’s transition into a high-tech automotive hub, redefining mobility and manufacturing standards for years to come.
