Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) has officially launched a partially upgraded version of the Supra RZ Grade, now available at Toyota dealerships across Japan. In addition, the company has opened the lottery for the highly anticipated special-edition Supra A90 Final Edition, limited to just 150 units in Japan. The lottery runs until April 13, with winners set to be announced on May 9.

The latest updates to the Supra RZ Grade focus on enhancing its driving experience, making it more integrated and enjoyable on city streets, winding roads, and racing circuits. Toyota has improved braking performance for greater safety, increased the body’s rigidity, and refined the suspension and chassis tuning. Aerodynamic improvements have also been introduced to boost handling and stability.
The A90 Final Edition represents the pinnacle of the current-generation Supra, offering significant performance upgrades as a tribute to loyal fans. This special-edition model features increased engine power and torque, upgraded braking components, a strengthened body structure, and a KW suspension system—a favourite among racing enthusiasts. The car is also equipped with high-performance tyres, further refining its high-speed stability and responsiveness.
A Supra Reborn
The Supra returned to production in 2019 after a 17-year hiatus, driven by the determination of Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda, also known as Master Driver Morizo. Toyoda has stated that his passion for the Supra was deeply personal, as he spent years honing his driving skills at the Nürburgring behind the wheel of the iconic model. The Supra’s revival, he noted, was a dream come true, developed through rigorous testing at the legendary German racetrack.
Since its reintroduction, the Supra has undergone periodic updates, with enhancements in 2020 and 2022. This latest iteration of the Supra RZ Grade builds on that legacy, introducing a more refined driving experience while maintaining the car’s signature performance characteristics.
Key Enhancements to the Supra RZ Grade
The new Supra RZ Grade receives larger 18-inch Brembo brakes in the front for improved stopping power. Structural enhancements include a reinforced rear underfloor brace, strengthened rubber mounts for the rear subframe, and upgraded rubber bushings for the front control arms. The front and rear stabilizers have also been reinforced with aluminium brackets for better chassis rigidity.
Suspension settings have been fine-tuned, with adjusted camber angles for the front and rear wheels, modifications to the electronically controlled dampers, and a strengthened front stabilizer. Additional aerodynamic enhancements include front wheel arch flaps, repositioned front tyre spats, and the addition of a carbon-fibre ducktail rear spoiler. The car’s electronic power steering (EPS) and active differential control have been recalibrated to complement these chassis improvements.
Inside, the Supra RZ Grade now features seats upholstered in Alcantara with GR embroidery, alongside a leather finish. The six-speed manual variant comes with a red-stitched shift knob, and red seatbelts add a sporty touch to the cabin. Exterior refinements include matte black alloy wheels.
A90 Final Edition: The Ultimate Supra
The A90 Final Edition takes the Supra to its highest level of performance yet. The 3.0-litre turbocharged engine now delivers 441PS and 571Nm of torque, a significant increase from the standard model. Enhancements to the intake system, including the removal of the resonator and optimised pipe routing, improve airflow. The exhaust system has been upgraded with a low-back-pressure catalyst and an Akrapovič titanium muffler for better sound and efficiency.

Cooling performance has also been improved with a strengthened radiator cooling fan, an added sub-radiator, and enlarged cooling fins on the differential gear cover. A carbon-fibre hood duct with a removable inner panel enhances heat dissipation.
To further reinforce structural rigidity, the A90 Final Edition includes a strengthened front cowl brace, an additional front underfloor brace, and a newly added luggage crossbar. The rear subframe is mounted with rigid aluminium supports, while the front lower arms receive stiffer rubber bushings. Pillow ball joints have been introduced to the front control arms, and the stabilizer brackets are now made from reinforced aluminium.
Tyre grip performance has also been upgraded, with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres that are 10 mm wider than before. The front wheels measure 19 inches, while the rear wheels are 20 inches, both made of forged aluminium.
Aerodynamically, the A90 Final Edition is equipped with a carbon-fibre front spoiler, front canards, and a front centre flap. The rear features a swan-neck carbon-fibre wing, enhancing downforce at high speeds. Active differential and EPS control settings have also been refined to align with the new chassis configuration.
Inside, the A90 Final Edition boasts RECARO Podium CF full-bucket seats with Alcantara seat pads. The steering wheel, door trim, centre console kneepad, centre armrest, shift knob boot, and the centre portion of the instrument panel are all wrapped in Alcantara. Red seatbelts, exclusive carbon-fibre scuff plates, and carbon-fibre instrument panel accents further distinguish the interior.
Public Debut at SUPER GT
Both the upgraded Supra RZ Grade and the exclusive A90 Final Edition will be showcased at the 2025 AUTOBACS SUPER GT Round 1, held at the Okayama International Circuit on April 12 and 13. The event will offer enthusiasts a first look at these latest iterations of the Supra, marking an important milestone in the model’s evolution.
With the A90 Final Edition serving as the grand finale for this generation of the Supra, Toyota Gazoo Racing continues to celebrate the model’s rich history while pushing its performance boundaries. As the lottery opens for the limited-edition model, anticipation among Supra enthusiasts is set to reach new heights.
