The 10th Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show 2024 (KLIMS 2024) concluded successfully at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), attracting an impressive 183,221 visitors over its seven-day run. Under the theme “Beyond Mobility”, the event celebrated cutting-edge advancements in electrification and sustainability, bringing together nearly 70 of the world’s leading automotive and mobility brands.
KLIMS 2024 featured a remarkable lineup of global and local brands, including Toyota, Perodua, Proton, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, Great Wall Motor (GWM), MG Motor, XPeng, and many others. Attendees experienced a stunning display of innovations and futuristic concepts. Toyota unveiled the FT-3e, Land Cruiser SE, Hilux FCEV, and the modular Kayoibako vehicle, while Nissan introduced the highly anticipated Hyper Tourer concept. Honda captivated audiences with the sleek Prelude Concept, the compact Motocompacto electric scooter, and a visionary eVTOL flying car concept. Representing Malaysian ingenuity, Perodua showcased the eMO-II EV concept car alongside the bold Ativa Fuze concept, emphasizing the country’s capability in driving innovation in mobility.
KLIMS 2024 also recognized creativity and innovation with the Best Booth Design Awards, which celebrated excellence across three categories. For the OEM Category (400 sqm and above), winners included UMW Toyota Motor Sdn. Bhd., Proton Holdings Bhd., and Perodua Sales Sdn Bhd. In the OEM Category (399 sqm and below), Stellantis Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. stood out as the winner. Among non-OEM participants, PECCA Leather Sdn. Bhd., Wedrink Enterprise Management (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, and Didi Group were honoured for their exceptional booths, which demonstrated creativity, functionality, and strong brand alignment.
Visitors enjoyed engaging highlights throughout the event, with giveaways adding excitement to the experience. Major prizes included a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited and a Perodua Axia, with winners celebrated at the Appreciation High-Tea hosted by MAA. These highlights added a festive touch to an event that was already brimming with innovation.
Reflecting on the event’s success, Richard Teo, Show Manager of KLIMS 2024, shared his enthusiasm. He described KLIMS 2024 as a dynamic platform for fostering collaboration, unveiling groundbreaking designs, and positioning Malaysia as a hub for innovation and sustainability in mobility.
