Leapmotor C10 Crowned by Euro NCAP With Five-Star Rating

The Leapmotor C10 has set a new standard in electric D-SUV safety, securing a prestigious five-star rating under the rigorous Euro NCAP safety program. As the first model from the Stellantis-Leapmotor joint venture, a 51:49 partnership aimed at producing high-tech, affordable vehicles, the C10 showcases the synergy between Stellantis’ global presence and Leapmotor’s innovative capabilities.

Achieving scores of 89% for adult protection, 85% for child protection, 77% for vulnerable road user safety, and 76% for driving assistance, the C10 exemplifies exceptional engineering. Its high-strength structural design and comprehensive airbag system, including front, side, curtain, and centre airbags, provide robust passive safety features.

Active safety is bolstered by an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) featuring 17 functions, including Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and Adaptive Cruise Control. The ADAS operates on Leapmotor’s proprietary “Four-Leaf Clover” centralized architecture, which integrates cockpit, driving, power, and body systems through a System-on-Chip (SoC) for seamless performance. Additional safety technologies include an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), working in conjunction with ABS and traction control, as well as a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) for real-time alerts.

The C10 is designed for convenience and visibility and is equipped with high-brightness LED headlights, a 360-degree camera, and rear parking sensors to enhance manoeuvrability in tight spaces. This level of detail reflects the Leapmotor-Stellantis partnership’s commitment to safety, innovation, and a superior driving experience.

By combining advanced safety features, cutting-edge technology, and affordability, the Leapmotor C10 positions itself as a formidable competitor in the global electric D-SUV segment. Its five-star Euro NCAP rating underscores its potential to redefine expectations for premium electric vehicles worldwide.
