SAIC Motor Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the MG Cyberster, the brand’s first all-electric roadster, with an estimated price below RM350,000. The MG Cyberster will make its first public appearance at the Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024, further solidifying MG’s entry into the electric vehicle (EV) market in Malaysia.
Iconic Electric Roadster Performance
The two-seater MG Cyberster offers impressive performance, featuring a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (4WD) system that delivers 503PS of power and a maximum torque of 725Nm. With a 77 kWh battery, the Cyberster can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.2 seconds and has a WLTP-certified driving range of 446km. Charging is convenient with a 7 kW AC fast charger, which allows a full charge in approximately 10.5 hours. Additionally, it supports 150kW DC rapid charging, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in just 38 minutes.
Stylish and Futuristic Design
The MG Cyberster features a broad, low-profile design and a retractable soft top. Its standout feature is the frameless scissor doors, adding a futuristic touch. The roadster rides on 20-inch Jetstream alloy wheels with striking red callipers and comes with automatic LED headlamps and daytime running lights (DRL) for enhanced visibility.
Luxurious Interior and Advanced Tech
Inside, the Cyberster boasts a sports-oriented interior, with Leather Sports Seats and Alcantara inserts for added comfort. The Nappa Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel complements the design. The vehicle’s infotainment system includes a 7-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch driver display, two 7-inch auxiliary screens, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system, ensuring a premium experience.
Comprehensive Safety Features
The MG Cyberster is equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) under the MG Pilot system. Key safety features include Front Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assistance (LKA), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), and more, ensuring top-notch safety for drivers and passengers alike.
Colour and Availability
The MG Cyberster will be available in four color options: Dynamic Red, Camden Grey, Inca Yellow, and English White. Each color is paired with a distinct interior, either black and red for the Dynamic Red and Camden Grey options or grey for the Inca Yellow and English White models. All come with a stylish black hood.
MG at Auto Car Expo 2024
The MG Cyberster will be available for test drives at the Auto Car Expo (ACE) 2024, along with other MG models such as the MG HS SUV, MG5 sedan, MG4 EV, and MG ZS EV SUV. Attendees will also be able to place pre-launch bookings for the MG HS and Cyberster, as well as engage with specialists from SAIC Motor Malaysia.
The ACE 2024 will be held on October 26 and 27, 2024, at Setia City Convention Centre. This event is expected to attract a large audience, highlighting SAIC Motor Malaysia’s continued commitment to sustainable mobility and innovation.
