The Kelantan Road Transport Department (JPJ) successfully auctioned off 38 vehicles, generating a total revenue of RM151,100 at the Public Auction Program of Seized Vehicles held at JPJ Panji.

According to Berita Harian,  Kelantan JPJ director Mohd Misuari Abdullah stated that 58 bidders participated in the auction, which offered 42 vehicles. Of these, 24 vehicles were eligible for registration, while 18 were classified as scrap.

Among the vehicles auctioned were a variety of car brands, including 12 cloned cars, as well as motorcycles and trucks. The highest bid of the day was for a Toyota BB (A) clone car, which had a reserve price of RM12,900 but fetched RM35,500. The lowest bid was for a Modenas Kriss scrap motorcycle, which sold for RM50.

“Of the 12 cloned cars that were auctioned, nine were successfully sold, bringing in a total of RM119,100. The remaining four were not auctioned,” Mohd Misuari shared during a press conference following the auction session.

He also noted that all bidders had purchased Public Auction Documents, priced at RM70, between 7 and 10 October.

“The vehicles auctioned today included popular models such as the Honda Civic, Honda Jazz, Mini Cooper, Proton Saga, and Mercedes-Benz. Motorcycles like the Modenas AN110F, Modenas Kriss, and Honda C100 were also part of the auction,” he added.

Mohd Misuari further explained that the vehicles auctioned had been seized and were under court orders for disposal for over a year. “There are still 100 more vehicles awaiting court action before they can be auctioned,” he stated.

He also highlighted that in 2022, two disposal auctions were held, involving 66 vehicles, which generated a total collection of RM226,584.
