BMW Malaysia has introduced the New BMW 520i M Sport, expanding its range of locally assembled BMW 5 Series models. This follows the debut of the BMW 520i at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 in May.
The M Sport package enhances the sportiness and style of the already dynamic BMW 520i. It allows customers to choose a model that fits their personal preferences, adding to the Power of Choice philosophy BMW promotes.
Sporty and Elegant Design
The New BMW 520i M Sport boasts a sleek, athletic profile, further enhanced by the M Sport package. Its elongated silhouette is complemented by Adaptive LED headlights, BMW Iconic Glow kidney grilles, and 19-inch M light alloy wheels in Double-spoke style 935 M Bicolour. The M high-gloss shadowline trim completes the sporty look.
Inside, the car features M anthracite headliner, dark chrome accents, and aluminium rhombicle trim. The M Sport 3-spoke leather steering wheel adds to the dynamic feel, while the BMW Curved Display, comprising a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen Control Display, provides intuitive control. Ambient lighting, an elegant BMW Interaction Bar, and a Harman Kardon HiFi loudspeaker system enhance the driving experience.
Engine and Performance
Powered by the four-cylinder B48 engine with a 48V mild hybrid system, the BMW 520i M Sport delivers a combined output of 153 kW/208 hp and 330 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, with a top speed of 230 km/h.
Advanced Driving Assistance
The BMW 520i M Sport comes equipped with the Driving Assistant Plus, a driver assistance system that includes Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function. This system detects both moving and stationary vehicles and can brake to a complete stop if needed. The package also features Steering and Lane Control Assistant, Lane Departure Warning with lane return, and Parking Assistant Plus.
Connectivity and Convenience
The New BMW 520i M Sport is equipped with BMW Live Cockpit Professional, Connected Drive Services, Intelligent emergency call, and the integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A wireless charging tray ensures devices stay powered on the go.
Customisation Options
The car is available in Black Sapphire Metallic, Mineral White Metallic, Oxide Grey Metallic, and Cape York Green Metallic exterior colors. Interior upholstery options include Veganza Perforated and Quilted Black or Veganza Perforated and Quilted Espresso Brown.
Financial Options
Through BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia’s Easy Drive Financing Plan, the New BMW 520i M Sport can be owned with a monthly instalment starting from RM4,013.00 (based on an 80% loan over five years). The Straight-Line Financing Plan offers instalments from RM4,074.00 for a seven-year term.

The recommended retail price for the New BMW 520i M Sport is RM349,800.00, with an optional BMW Service & Repair Inclusive package available for RM26,900.00.
