Recall Reason: Rear axle welding issue, leading to potential failure.

Inspection Progress: 592 out of 600 units inspected as of June 7, 2024 (98.67% completion)
Current Status:
- As of May 28, 2024, 92% of the affected Omoda 5 units were inspected.
- On June 13, 2024, a viral case of an affected vehicle was resolved, and the customer confirmed the issue was satisfactorily addressed.
- Remaining inspections expected to be completed by the end of June 2024.
Action: Chery Auto Malaysia is contacting the remaining vehicle owners for inspections and has assured JPJ of monitoring the recall process to ensure all units are addressed.
