Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Introduces Four New EQE Variants – SUVs and Sedans

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has expanded its lineup with the launch of four new EQE variants, alongside the introduction of the Star Elegance lifestyle retail concept at Hap Seng Star Bukit Tinggi. The EQE sedan offers the essential functions of the EQS in a slightly more compact format, featuring a sporty ‘purpose design’ with characteristic elements of Mercedes-Benz EQ.

This includes one-bow lines and a cab-forward design that emphasises sensual purity with generously modelled surfaces, reduced joints, and seamless transitions. The vehicle has short overhangs, a short front end, and a dynamic rear with a sharp spoiler. The battery provides a usable energy content of 90.56 kWh, offering a range of up to 682 km according to WLTP.

The base variant, the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ Electric Art Line, boasts an Electric Art exterior and interior, 19-inch 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, ARTICO man-made leather black/space grey upholstery, and an Advanced Sound System. It includes an AC onboard charging system capable of charging up to 22 kW. Other features include DIGITAL LIGHT, a Driving Assistance Package, laser-cut backlit trim with Mercedes-Benz pattern, active ambient lighting, KEYLESS-GO Comfort Package, and a Parking Package with a 360° camera.

The Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ AMG Line enhances the experience with a panoramic sunroof, a radiator grille with the Mercedes-Benz pattern, rear axle steering with up to 10° adjustment, AIRMATIC air suspension, and an electric charging socket flap. This model also includes an AC onboard charging system with up to 22 kW capacity, setting a benchmark for electric luxury business sedans in Malaysia.

Both the EQE 350+ Electric Art Line and AMG Line have a rated output of 292hp and a rated torque of 565Nm. They can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and have a top speed of 210 km/h. The HV battery offers an electric range of 665-682 km according to WLTP, with an electric consumption of 16.0-15.4 kWh/100km. AC charging from 0% to 100% SOC (22 kW) takes 4 hours 45 minutes, while DC charging from 10% to 80% (170 kW) takes 32 minutes. The retail price for the Electric Art Line is RM 379,888, and the AMG Line is RM 429,888 (both prices are on the road without insurance and include 10% sales tax).

The EQE SUV, a versatile variant of the EQE executive sedan, combines the innovations of the EQS with a more dynamic performance. The EQE SUV is spacious and achieves a total output of 215 kW, with a range of up to 596km according to WLTP. A new colour, velvet brown metallic, is available for this model in Malaysia.

The new Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ SUV Electric Art Line features an Electric Art exterior and interior, 20-inch 5-spoke light-alloy wheels, NEOTEX/ARTICO man-made leather black/space grey upholstery, laser-cut backlit trim with the Mercedes-Benz pattern, comfort suspension, and an Advanced Sound System. It also includes DIGITAL LIGHT, Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus, a Driving Assistance Package Plus, a Parking Package with a 360° camera, and MBUX augmented reality for navigation. This variant mirrors the comprehensive equipment of the EQE 350+ sedan with Electric Art Line.

The Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ SUV AMG Line offers extensive equipment found in the current Mercedes-Benz EQE 500 4MATIC SUV, including a panoramic sunroof, AIRMATIC suspension, rear axle steering, Burmester 3D surround sound system, and sports seats. The 20-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels are new to this variant. The EQE SUV variants have a rated output of 292hp and a rated torque of 565Nm.

They can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and have a top speed of 210 km/h. The HV battery provides a usable energy content of 90.56 kWh, offering an electric range of 485-596 km according to WLTP, with an electric consumption of 21.6–17.5 kWh/100km. AC charging from 0% to 100% SOC (22 kW) takes 4 hours 45 minutes, while DC charging from 0% to 80% SOC (170 kW) takes 32 minutes. The retail price for the Electric Art Line is RM398,888, and for the AMG Line, it is RM448,888.

The top-of-the-line Mercedes-Benz EQE 500 4MATIC SUV AMG Line variant features a rated output of 408hp and a rated torque of 858Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h. The HV battery offers a usable energy content of 90.56 kWh, providing an electric range of 465-550 km according to WLTP, with an electric consumption of 22.5–18.9 kWh/100 km. AC charging from 0% to 100% SOC (22 kW) takes 4 hours 45 minutes, while DC charging from 0% to 80% SOC (170 kW) takes 32 minutes. The retail price for this variant is RM485,888.

All Mercedes-Benz EQE variants now come with a 22 kW onboard charger and an electric vehicle charging socket flap. Deliveries for the Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+ SUV Electric Art Line and AMG Line will commence in June 2024.
