Porsche Elevates Turbo Lineup with Exclusive “Turbonite” Badge and Finishes

The highly regarded Porsche Turbo range, which is already known for its high performance, will get a little more exclusivity with the launch of the brand-new “Turbonite” badge and related design upgrades.

While the classic crest receives an update across regular models, Turbo variants will be adorned with the distinguished Turbonite badge. Departing from the traditional golden hue, this badge boasts a sophisticated blend of black and an “elegant metallic grey tone,” adding an extra layer of prestige to the Turbo lineup.

The Turbonite colour scheme doesn’t limit itself to the badge alone. Porsche hints at extending this unique finish to various elements, including inlays in the front fascia, spokes, and aeroblades in light alloy wheels. The application will vary based on the model line, ensuring a cohesive and exclusive Turbo aesthetic.

Interior enhancements are equally noteworthy. The Turbonite badge finds its place on the steering wheel of upcoming Turbo variants, and customers can anticipate the use of Turbonite trim, seat belts, and switchgear. The exclusivity extends to vehicles with black interiors, where Turbonite serves as a contrasting color for stitching on seats, door panel trim, instrument panels, and floor mats.

Porsche enthusiasts will get a firsthand look at these upgrades with the debut of the redesigned Panamera on November 24, marking the initial recipient of these distinctive touches. The intention is clear – to amplify the exclusivity and performance identity of the Turbo trim across the entire lineup.

Michael Mauer, Vice President of Style Porsche, emphasised the company’s commitment to elevating the Turbo brand. Reflecting on the legacy of the first 911 Turbo nearly 50 years ago, Mauer stated that the Turbo has evolved into a brand of its own. The goal now is to make the Turbo even more distinct, creating a consistent and elegant Turbo aesthetic that sets it apart from other derivatives within the Porsche lineup, such as the GTS. The Turbonite enhancements are poised to achieve precisely that – an elegant, high-quality, and truly special Turbo experience across all model lines.
