The company has now introduced three additional high-powered DC fast charging stations at strategically selected smart dealerships across the nation.
The Central Powerhouses
smart Glenmarie (EON Berhad) and smart Ipoh (GB Auto) have been equipped with 60kW DC charging stations, positioning them at the forefront of fast-charging technology in their respective regions. These central locations are poised to play a vital role in the growing electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.
Penang’s Power Epicenter
For EV enthusiasts in Penang, smart Penang (Eleganz Lifestyle) boasts the highest-powered DC charger, setting a new benchmark for the island. With an impressive 120kW DC charging capacity, smart Penang is conveniently situated just 5 minutes away from Georgetown, ensuring easy access for those in need of a rapid recharge.
Empowering the North
smart Alor Setar (Lee Motors) is set to introduce a 50kW DC charging station, promising to revolutionize the charging experience for smart vehicle owners in the area. This development is expected to transform Alor Setar into a thriving hub for EV charging. Additionally, smart Setia Alam (Wheelcorp EV), smart Johor Bahru (Motor Future), and smart Melaka (Sigma Energy EV) are all scheduled to welcome new DC charging stations with capacities of 60kW and 120kW, respectively, by the end of the year.

The deployment of these high-powered DC charging stations at smart outlets nationwide underscores smart Malaysia’s unwavering commitment to delivering fast and efficient charging solutions, soon to be accessible to the public. This initiative also complements and contributes to the growing network of high-powered charging stations across the country, in addition to existing chargers available through partners such as ChargeEV, Gentari, and JomCharge, further expanding access for the general public.
Additionally, real-time charging point information, including availability status, can be conveniently accessed through the Hello smart app. Currently, seventy percent of public charging points are already integrated into the app. In the near future, users will also have the ability to make payments through the app, in preparation for the forthcoming smart #1 launch.
