The awards were bestowed upon Ford’s Next-Gen Ranger, earning the title of ‘Pick-up Truck of the Year’, and the Next-Gen Ranger Raptor, crowned as ‘Car of the Year’.
The Next-Generation Ford Ranger boasts an updated design with enhanced aerodynamics and improved interior comfort. It offers a range of powerful, efficient engines, intuitive technologies, and an extensive suite of best-in-class safety features. The Next-Gen Ranger lineup in Malaysia includes nine variants, catering to diverse consumer preferences.
The Next-Gen Ranger Raptor, designed and engineered with Ford’s Performance DNA, is available with two highly-tuned engine selections. The ultra-performance 3.0-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 petrol powertrain delivers an impressive 397 PS and 583Nm torque. Alternatively, the 2.0L Bi-Turbo Diesel engine offers a power output of up to 210 PS and 500 Nm of torque, combined with competitive fuel consumption at 8.2L/100km.
The CarPlus Editor’s Choice Award recognises automotive excellence in Malaysia, honouring outstanding vehicles across various categories based on performance, design, innovation, and overall driving experience. Nominations are drawn from new models launched in Malaysia between July 2022 and July 2023.
