In a bold endeavour, renowned tuner ABT Sportsline has set its sights on Lamborghini, unveiling its latest creation – the ABT Urus Scatenato, aptly named for its promise of unleashed, raging performance. Limited to a mere 99 units, this exclusive offering marries power and exclusivity in a breathtaking display of automotive prowess.
Taking its expertise from enhancing VW Group vehicles, ABT begins its transformation with the performance-oriented Lamborghini Urus, adding a remarkable boost of power and subtle design refinements. The base model Urus Performante already boasts an impressive 666hp from its twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine. However, ABT’s Power R technology elevates this figure to an astonishing 810hp, a remarkable addition of 144hp.
Aerodynamics play a crucial role in channelling this newfound power effectively. ABT refines the Urus Scatenato’s aerodynamic profile, featuring a cohesive spoiler with a central blade at the front, complemented by a modified rear skirt and wing. These enhancements not only enhance the SUV’s aggressive appearance but also generate additional downforce.
The design philosophy of subtle enhancements continues in the extensive use of carbon fiber throughout the Urus Scatenato. Carbon fiber elements adorn the engine compartment cover, release, engine cover, and various interior trim pieces. The exterior also flaunts exposed carbon fiber on mirror caps, wing flares, side skirts, and hood vents, adding to the vehicle’s menacing allure. The ABT High-Performance IRL 23-inch wheels perfectly complement this aesthetic, exuding a sense of power and dominance on the road.
Furthermore, the exhaust system, equipped with ABT 4-pipe titanium tailpipe tips, delivers a symphonic soundtrack that perfectly complements the V8 engine’s performance, offering an auditory experience to match its visual prowess.
Drawing parallels to the Audi RS Q8 Signature Edition ABT developed previously, which shares a platform with the Urus, the Urus Scatenato promises performance akin to the Q8. The shared platform utilizes a variation of the 4.0 twin-turbo V8 engine, boasting a staggering 790hp. The power surge propels the Urus Scatenato from 0 to 100km/h in a mere 3.2 seconds. With sufficient runway, it can reach a top speed of 315km/h, a significant enhancement over the stock RS Q8.
While ABT Sportsline has not disclosed specific performance numbers for the Urus Scatenato, it’s evident that this raging version of the Urus will undoubtedly exhibit similar, if not superior, enhancements, promising an exhilarating and dynamic driving experience.
