Severe weather conditions, characterised by heavy rain and strong winds, impacted several areas in the Klang Valley around 5:30pm yesterday. This inclement weather resulted in various incidents involving fallen trees, causing damage to vehicles and properties.
According to NST, in Kepong neighbourhoods, 14 vehicles were reported damaged due to fallen trees, and a school also witnessed uprooted trees damaging vehicles. A tree hit a house and vehicle in Jalan 26/62B in Bandar Manjalara, fortunately without causing injuries.
Other affected areas included SK Kepong Baru, where approximately 30 vehicles were damaged, and various locations along roads such as Jalan 1/60A, Kampung Segambut Tengah, Jalan Manjalara, Jalan Lang Emas, SMK Kepong Baru, the Desa Park City main road, and SMK Taman Bukit Maluri.
Multiple incidents of fallen trees were reported in different parts of Kepong and nearby areas, resulting in vehicle damage. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in these incidents. The Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Services Department swiftly responded to these incidents, carrying out cleaning and clearing operations promptly to restore normalcy.
