Recently unveiled during Monterey Car Week in California, the Zenvo Aurora marks the Danish automaker’s newest entry into the world of supercars. The public introduction showcases two distinct iterations: the Tur, designed for grand touring, and the Agil, optimised for track performance. Notably, both versions are limited to a production run of just 50 units each.
Both iterations of the Aurora exhibit a distinctive sharp-edged design. The Agil features a prominent large wing, while the Touring variant presents a sleeker and cleaner silhouette.
The design approach exposes approximately 70% of the carbon monocoque structure, leaving sections of the front and rear subframes visible. Furthermore, segments of the pushrod front and rear double-wishbone suspension are also discernible.
Regarding the interior of the Aurora, Zenvo opts for more limited disclosure. The provided images reveal an array of instruments positioned in front of the driver. Notably, there’s a compact infotainment screen on the left, a substantial tachometer at the center, and a consolidated fuel and battery gauge located on the right.
Both iterations of the Aurora feature a quad-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 engine sourced from Mahle Powertrain. This powertrain alone generates 1250hp and can rev up to 9,800rpm. In the case of the rear-wheel-drive Agil model, it incorporates a singular electric motor that enhances the combined output to 1450hp and a torque of 1400Nm. The cars achieve acceleration from 0-100km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reach 201km/h in a mere 4.6 seconds. The top speed achieved is 365km/h!
The all-wheel-drive Tur variant incorporates an additional pair of electric motors responsible for propelling the front wheels. As a result, the combined power output elevates to 1850hp and a torque of 1700Nm. This particular model accelerates from 0-100km/h in a rapid 2.3 seconds, achieving an insane top speed of 450km/h! It’s worth noting that the extra electric motors are offered as an optional feature for the Agil model.
The engine is paired with a seven-speed gearbox. This transmission includes an electric motor that engages during reverse maneuvers and also serves as the initiator for the powertrain. Notably, the Agil and Tur models feature distinct gear ratios and gear change programming. Nevertheless, Zenvo has refrained from disclosing specific details regarding the batteries for either of the models.
The Agil boasts a weight of under 1300kg, while its body generates a substantial 880kg of downforce at a speed of 250km/h. In contrast, the Tur version carries a weight of 1450kg due to the mass from the inclusion of two extra motors. The lightweight chassis was inspired by Formula One technology, according to Zenvo.
Manufacturing is set to commence in 2026, with pricing starting at $2.83 million (RM13.1 million).
