If you don’t already know, the Tesla model Y is already available for bookings ahead of Tesla’s official launch here in Malaysia on 20 July 2023.
But with Tesla models entering the Malaysian market, there have to be Tesla superchargers right?
Well, Tesla has just revealed a list of 10 available supercharger locations throughout Malaysia and here is the list:
- Iskandar Puteri, Johor
- Negeri Sembilan
- Dengkil, Selangor
- Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur
- Petaling Jaya, Selangor
- Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur
- Two locations in Kuala Lumpur
- Ipoh, Perak
- Perai, Pulau Pinang
As of now, there are no superchargers listed for East Coast, Sabah and Sarawak. In V3/V4 configuration, a Tesla Supercharger can provide up to 250 kW of electricity. Older variants produce up to 150 kW less power. The incoming power source will be the charger’s ultimate limiting factor, regardless of the hardware capabilities it may have.
Through Tesla’s listing, it is also stated that it is still subject to change in location and time of introduction for this Tesla Supercharger.
