The new Nissan Serena J Impul has been introduced in Malaysia by Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd (ETCM). It comes in two variants; the Highway Star and the Premium Highway Star Package.
The Premium Highway Star Package has more features on the interior and exterior which is the result of a collaboration with renowned aftermarket tuner Impul Japan, which is what we are going to be focusing on here.
At the front, you can spot chrome trims that highlight the lines and also compliments the chrome inserts of Nissan’s V-Motion front grille. The rear chrome trimmings can be found at the lower end of the bumper which matches the trims in the front. These chrome trims come with what Nissan calls the “J-Impul Aerokit” which also has an exclusive two-tone exterior.
A set of 18-inch Impul Millennium Y-spoke alloy wheels with a black and polished finish wrapped in ultra-high-performance Goodyear Eagle F1 Sport tyres complete the Serena J Impul’s external package.
With a combination of leather-upholstered seats and door trims, the interior also receives a premium Impul makeover.
It has handpicked Nappa leather and contrasting hues of burgundy. The black accents in the interior also lift the cabin ambience significantly with a unique Japanese rock garden-inspired seat pattern and embroidered Impul logo to match.
It receives a 9-Inch advanced touchscreen infotainment (6.5-inch on the Highway Star) with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and an 11.6 Inch roof-mounted monitor.
The Serena comes fitted with a fuel-efficient S-Hybrid powertrain comprising the MR20DD 2.0-litre CVTC four-cylinder engine supported by an Energy Control electric motor with a total output of 150hp and 200Nm of torque. It has a fuel efficiency of 14.2km/l and a range of up to 852km on a full tank.
