Malaysian Man Arrested for Assaulting Woman in Traffic

The man seen in a viral video, believed to have assaulted a female driver near Lata Iskandar, Tapah, has been apprehended by the police.

The video shows him exiting his vehicle and knocking on the window of the female driver’s car, questioning her driving skills. Unsatisfied with her response and the tone of her reply, he proceeded to strike her on the head, instructing her not to raise her voice.

Fortunately, the entire incident was captured on camera by a passenger in the car. The 29-year-old suspect, who worked as a factory supervisor, was arrested in Serdang after a police report was filed by the 24-year-old woman.

Perak Police Chief, Datuk Seri Mohd. Yusri Hassan Basri, stated that the vehicle driven by the male suspect is registered under a woman’s name with an address in Tanjong Karang, Selangor. The efforts to locate and apprehend the suspect were successful.

Further investigation will take place at the Tapah District Police Headquarters (IPD). The case is being investigated under Section 325/506/509 of the Penal Code.
