First-Ever BMW i4 M50 Unveiled In Malaysia – From RM430,210

At the Malaysia Autoshow 2023, BMW Malaysia unveiled the first-ever BMW i4 M50.

The first all-electric BMW M was first previewed in conjunction with BMW’s famous motorsports division’s 50th anniversary last year, is destined to increase the benchmark for purely electric driving performance in Malaysia.

Exterior

The BMW M 50 Years Emblems will be standard on the first-ever BMW i4 M50. The car’s athletic personality is underlined by standard equipment elements such as the M Aerodynamics package, M rear spoiler in body colour, and black rear diffuser insert.

It will be available in Mineral White, Black Sapphire, M Brooklyn Grey, M Portimao Blue, and Sanremo Green.

Interior

Inside, the First-Ever BMW i4 M50 is outfitted with M interior trim with Carbon Fibre trim finishers, M Anthracite Headliner, and amenities such as M Sport seats in the front, M seat belts, Sensatec metre panel, and electronic glass roof. The BMW IconicSounds Electric additionally creates an emotional experience by reproducing the dynamic “M” engine sound.

Leather Vernasca in Black with Blue Contrast Stitching and Leather Vernasca in Cognac are available for interior upholstering.

To enhance safety, onboard advanced safety technologies, such as Acoustic Protection for Pedestrians, Active Protection for Pedestrians, Driving Assistant Professional, Parking Assistant Plus, and Active Protection are available.

Power and Performance

The First-Ever BMW i4 M50 features two BMW M eDrive motors, one for the front and one for the rear axles. With an exceptional power of 544 hp and maximum torque of 795 Nm in Sport Boost mode, this arrangement provides an extremely dynamic all-wheel drive experience. The century sprint takes only 3.9 seconds, and the top speed is limited to 225 km/h.

The electric range is 510 kilometres (based on the WLTP cycle) with an energy consumption of 24 – 19 kWh/100 km. The First-Ever BMW i4 M50, which is compatible with both AC and DC charging modes, can be fully charged in 8 hours and 15 minutes with an 11-kW AC charger or charged from 10% to 80% in 31 minutes with a 200-kW DC charger.
