Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced that those travelling for Hari Raya Aidilfitri will enjoy toll free journeys on four days.
The toll-free period will begin at 12:01 a.m. today, April 19, 2023, and last through April 21, 2023, at 11:59 p.m., as well as April 24, 2023. April 22 and 23 are not free toll days.
33 highways will be included in this programme for all types of vehicles. The barriers are still in operation, so even though you won’t have to pay toll on these toll-free days, you’ll still need to use your Touch ‘n Go card, SmartTAG, and RFID tag as usual.
“We hope that this initiative will lessen the burden of those who are going back to their respective hometowns for the festivity,” Anwar said.
