A woman experienced a traumatic event on Sunday when inconsiderate people threw rocks at her car, breaking the windshield along Jalan Mempaga, close to Lurah Bilut, Pahang.
Nurcahaya Jaafar, 35, claimed that she was driving a Perodua Viva at the time of the incident, which happened at around 8:50 p.m., along with her husband and two kids aged six and seven months old.
She said they had broken their fast at her family’s home in Rancangan Tanah Pemuda (RTP) Lebu and were heading home.
“The roads are very dark and on the way home I saw many pieces of white rocks in the middle of the road,” she said.
“I turned on the high beam to avoid the rocks, but suddenly I heard an explosion-like sound from a rock being thrown on the right side of the door. At that time I also saw glimpses of people throwing rocks from the left and right side and I suspected they were using catapults at close range,” she added.
Even in fear, she continued her journey home as quickly as she could. She was upset about what had happened to her car but thankful that nothing had happened to all of them.
She also hoped that the authorities would take immediate action and arrest the irresponsible perpetrators so that no one else would become a victim and face such an alarming experience again.
