After more than a month of testing, ChargEV has finally opened its fastest DC chargers at Berjaya Times Square. These are Kempower machines with two nozzles that can supply the 225kW listed maximum output.
Instead of a time-based system, these chargers will calculate how much to charge EVs depending on the number of kWh supplied.
Until the end of April 2023, the DC Chargers at Berjaya Times Square’s ground-level main entrance will cost RM1.20 per kWh.
EV owners need to take note that they can park for 30 minutes for free at the charging station. If you want to leave your car at the bay for more than 30 minutes, there will be an RM20 valet fee.
Additionally, six 22kW AC chargers from ChargEV have been installed in Basement 1 of the same mall. The AC units cost RM0.80 per kWh for non-members and RM0.60 per kWh for ChargEV members.
With the ChargEV app, which is accessible through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, you can activate the chargers.
Members of ChargEV can take advantage of a promotion that offers 20% or 50% off their first Grande Handcrafted Drinks at Starbucks when they use the AC or DC chargers, respectively.
Simply provide your ChargEV membership ID from your phone at the desk to take advantage of this deal. The soft launch of their chargers coincides with the two-week validity of this promotion.
