The New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) will have a seven-month partial lane closure starting on March 30 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
This is to accommodate upgrading works of a new railway bridge by Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) between the Shah Alam and Subang exchange.
The works are to be carried out at night with the support of the Malaysian Highway Authority and KTMB, according to PLUS.
PLUS senior general manager Mohd Yusuf Abdul Aziz said, “Staggered lane closures will be activated at night between KM10.5 and KM11.3 of the NKVE. The lanes will be reopened fully to users from 5 am to ensure there is no disturbance to traffic flow, especially for road users during peak hour.”
“The KTM bridge would be elevated from the present 4.5m to 5.4m to enable more heavy vehicles to pass through the stretch. There would be no traffic disruption during the festive season and works will not be carried out for around 10 days during, before and after the Hari Raya celebration,” he added.
