The police have arrested a 27-year-old man for allegedly assaulting a doctor after an accident that took place at Jalan Kolam Air Lama in Ampang.
The doctor, a 67-year-old male was said to be driving alone when he realised that he was rear ended by another vehicle at about 10:30am on Monday, March 20.
According to Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak, the doctors car was blocked by another car when arriving at a petrol station near Ampang Point. The driver then proceeded to get out of the car to punch and kick the doctor.
The whole incident was recorded and the police managed to apprehend the suspect who had no prior criminal records and was negative for drugs. He will be remanded for further investigation as the doctor had suffered various injuries due to the assault.
