East Malaysia is truck country and with the Ford Ranger as its core model, Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC) has made sure it has a good presence there to offer one of the best trucks in the market.
Over the years, the company, which has been the sole distributor for Ford vehicles in Malaysia since 2008, has steadily built up its network in the region and recently added another dealership in Sabah. With this new dealership SDAC-Ford now has 37 outlets nationwide.
Operated by Rightpower Corporation Sdn Bhd, Ford Kota Kinabalu (Penampang) is the second Ford 3S Centre in the state capital and the eighth outlet in East Malaysia.
Located in the heart of the Penampang district, the dealership will serve one of Kota Kinabalu’s key town centres, complementing the existing dealership in Inanam.
RM1 million was spent on the new Ford 3S centre which offers the full range of services to customers from new vehicles to aftersales support once they become Ford owners.
The 3S Centre’s 12,000 sq. ft site has a spacious 4,300 sq. ft. showroom where the latest Ford models can be viewed (test-drives are, of course always available). The adjacent service centre has 4 service bays with complete equipment to service and repair Ford vehicles. The service team, comprising 16 members, includes highly trained technicians certified by Ford so they know all about looking after the vehicles.
“Sabah is a very exciting market with a high demand for our Next-Generation Ford Ranger,” said Turse Zuhair, Managing Director of Sime Darby Auto ConneXion-Ford. “As we continue to expand our customer base in Kota Kinabalu, we are pleased to introduce Rightpower Corporation as our second dealership, targeted at expanding to customers in the Penampang district.”
“The new dealership enables customers to embrace the distinctive Ford experience and we look forward to providing high-quality services through this facility,” he added.
