CARSOME Now Has Own Service Centres For Aftersales Support

Aftersales support – providing regular maintenance and availability of replacements parts – is an important part of the auto business. Authorised distributors of new vehicles are expected to provide aftersales support to customers to ensure that they have a good ownership experience.

Buying a used vehicle is a different thing and aftersales support is not mandatory. This is, of course, to be expected and for most owners, there are many independent service centres (as well as the authorised ones handling the brand of their vehicles) to go to for periodic maintenance and repairs.

While used car dealers don’t invest in aftersales services, CARSOME – the company which manages online buying and selling of used vehicles – is doing so. It has now ventured into aftersales vehicle servicing with the launch of CARSOME Service Centre. The first two such service centres are located in Petaling Jaya and Ampang, Selangor.

The service centres cater not only to customers who have bought their pre-owned vehicles through CARSOME but also anyone who requires vehicle maintenance. This is especially useful for those vehicles which no longer have the factory warranty and owners may wish to use alternative service centres for periodic maintenance or repairs.

Customers using the service centres for maintenance service will have a complimentary 20-point inspection of their vehicle to identify any underlying issues. They will also be recommended the best maintenance package, with work carried out by experienced mechanics.

“The CARSOME Service Centre offers a full-breadth of trusted aftersales services for convenient and worry-free car maintenance. We are committed to alleviating the uncertainties car owners have to navigate in order to secure a reliable, affordable, trusted car maintenance service provider. We do this by providing a transparent digital booking platform, backed by CARSOME standards and experts as a one-stop shop solution for car owners,” said the company’s Co-founder and Group CEO, Eric Cheng.

“From a business perspective, the CARSOME Service Centre marks the beginning of an exciting chapter to improve legacy practices in the aftersales service market. Apart from leveraging data and technology to digitalize the customer journey, we are embracing the ‘phygital’ experience – reinforcing the digital experience with physical elements necessary to innovate and deliver end-to-end solutions for our customers across the region,” added Mr. Cheng.
