With the monsoon season still ongoing and the risk of floods, especially in the East Coast areas, motorists unlucky enough to have their vehicles caught in deep water may find themselves having a big bill for repairs. Unless they have included insurance coverage for floods, compensation will not be given by the insurance company.
Over the years, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd. (ETCM), together with Tan Chong Ekspres Auto Servis Sdn. Bhd. (TCEAS), have been offering various forms of assistance to Nissan owner who have flood-damaged vehicles. This year, they are again announcing a special Nissan Flood Relief Assistance program for owners of Nissan vehicles nationwide.
The program offers 30% discount on parts and labour charges (at TCEAS outlets) to help alleviate the financial burden that the owners will be faced with. In many cases, water will also have entered the cabin, damaging the upholstery. Those who wish to have the damaged upholstery restored will be charged a special rate of RM1,655 nett for sedan models and RM1,988 nett for MPV, SUV, pick-up and vans models.
Settle bill in instalments – interest-free
If the bill is high, the amount can be settled in up to 12 instalments under the Easy Payment Plan. That would certainly help to ease the financial stress and even better, no interest will be charged. There will also be a warranty of 6 months/10,000 kms for all Nissan Genuine Parts replaced.
Other support available in relation to the floods are Fee Towing and Door-to-Door Towing (terms and conditions apply). Nissan owners can also request for the Collect & Delivery service for usual maintenance service over the weekends.
