The first-ever Perodua Digital Showroom is well on its way after Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), Arus Jaya Automotive Sdn. Bhd. and Perodua announced their strategic collaboration for the development of Smart Sales and Service yesterday in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
With the world swiftly moving into the digitalisation era, this Digital Showroom by Perodua will be a first of its kind here in the country to better provide and assist the aftermarket sector. It will serve as a platform to further enhance operations for customers using digital technologies and services in Sabah.
Elements of Industry 4.0 will be greatly utilised in this great endeavour from Big Data Analytics (BDA), Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud-based services. This will allow ‘seamless, interactive and immersive experience for customers while reducing operational costs for business owners.’
According to Dato’ Madani Sahari, CEO of MARii, “The Digital Showroom is a game-changer for the sales, service and aftermarket sector, as the digital dimension at the point in which the consumer is most involved is altered. This initiative will transform the sales scene of the industry, allowing business owners to reduce operational costs by eliminating the need of investing in a high number of showroom display models while at the same time, maximising the choices offered to the customer during the purchasing decision phase.”
