Toyota Gazoo Racing (GR) has announced their plans to start sales on the pumped-up Toyota GR Supra GT4, a race machine for interested customer teams beginning March 2020 in Europe. This 430hp A90 Supra is will also go up for sale in Japan and other Asian countries next October for the ultimate racing nirvana.
What’s special about this particular GR Supra GT4? The very impressive 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine with a single twin-scroll turbocharger has been tuned with MO’ POWER BABY at 430hp (compared to the standard 340hp available in the road-going unit).
They’ve also fitted a set of very delicious Akrapovic exhaust system and Ravenol engine lubricant for its first fill-up. As for stopping power, that too has been enhanced with the use of dedicated racing brake calipers (six-piston at the front, four-piston at the rear). Most of the groundwork is handled by some sticky Pirelli rubbers.
This race machine also comes with a high-strength roll cage and FIA-standard racing seats with six-point harness. For GT4 competition, this GR Supra is also fitted with specific carbon fibre instrument panel, steering wheel, front splitter, rear wing, and all the other race-winning essentials.
The planned car price is 175,000€ (around RM815,748) excluding tax, custom fee, logistic fee, etc. We are already in love with the stock on-the-road Supra and we can’t imagine how this baby will burn rubber and blast through corners in the track. Our guess? It would be quite majestic to witness.
