The 2019 Tokyo Motor Show is just around the corner and already motoring journalists around the world are feeling the heat of what’s to come. The folks from Mazda also has something up their sleeves as they will be revealing their very first mass-production battery electric vehicle (EV).
Mazda has also stated that their very own EV technology is ‘developed in accordance with Mazda’s human-centric philosophy and making full use of the benefits of electric drive technology, it offers performance drivers can enjoy effortlessly and wholeheartedly.’
The world premiere of Mazda’s completely new EV battery model will be the brand’s third instalment of new-generation vehicle line-up as the market for EVs continues to grow around the globe. We’re pretty sure that the new battery will be powering their upcoming EV and we hope that it’ll close to the Mazda e-TPV (Electric Technology Prove-Out Vehicle).
The e-TPV has been said to be equipped with a 35.5kWh battery that is able to propel the all-electric SUV with 140hp and 364Nm of maximum torque. We’ve also been informed that Mazda might be releasing two versions of this new technology where one will be a pure EV and the other is a hybrid equipped with a brand-new hybrid rotary engine.
