Bermaz Motor Trading Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of Mazda vehicles here in Malaysia, has officially unveiled their latest offering here in Malaysia in the form of the new 2019 Mazda3. The new era welcomes in a totally reworked C-segment vehicle based on the beautiful Kai Concept model introduced not too long ago.
For the new 2019 Mazda3, both the sedan and hatchback models are available for purchase with two different SkyActiv-G engine options and a total of three different variants to choose from. The fourth-generation model starts with the 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine as the base which produces a cool 118hp and 153Nm of torque.
Want a bit more power? Customers can also opt for the 2.0-litre High which is only available for the sedan model and the 2.0 High Plus which you can choose either the sedan or hatchback model. This power unit is able to churn out 162hp and 213Nm which is perfect for those who want that extra bit of kick in their everyday drives.
While the engine options are already impressive enough, it’s how the car was designed inside and out that stands as the main attraction. Looking at the exterior, it’s clear that the Kodo design philosophy remains at the forefront of Mazda’s vehicle design with its very own distinct characteristics.
With its ‘beauty through subtraction’ design theme, what you get is a sleeker and more dynamic appearance with minimalism at its best. Smooth contouring lines flow elegantly from front to back. The Liftback model in particular portrays the ‘condensed and emotional’ design concept which results in a powerful yet seductive appeal for any car enthusiasts around the globe.
Mazda has also updated their SkyActiv-Chassis unit that not only with increased rigidity and enhanced damping functions but also provides a more comfortable ride throughout its lifespan. These updates include a new torsion beam suspension package, better seating position, better tyres, and many more to further enhance the Mazda3’s NVH levels.
