Ford has released their shortest press release yet when it comes to the announcement of their latest 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. Their main message for this new beast? A street-legal monster powered by the world’s most powerful supercharged V8 production engine with a whopping 760hp and close to 850Nm of ‘Oh My God’ torque.
Below is the official press release sent out by Ford themselves (and no, we did not change a single word).
PRESS RELEASE
760 HORSEPOWER, 625 LB.-FT.: 2020 MUSTANG SHELBY GT500 BOASTS WORLD’S MOST POWER-DENSE SUPERCHARGED PRODUCTION V8 ENGINE
DEARBORN, Mich., June 19, 2019 – Venomous strike: The all-new 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 will produce 760 horsepower and 625 lb.-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful street-legal Ford ever – with the most power- and torque-dense supercharged production V8 engine in the world.
Enough said.
That’s it. That is it. Just to get a taste of what the new 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is capable of, they’ve also released a short clip of letting the beast loose and going sideways like a BOSS.

From what we know, the new Mustang comes with a 5.2-litre V8 with a brand new supercharger which helps to produce all of that massive power. To ensure that the driver is able to control this beast, a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is incorporated into whole volatile concoction.
Top speed is apparently limited to 180mp/h or around 290km/h while 0-100km/h still remains a mystery apart from the folks from Ford. What they have claimed is the fact that this baby can complete the quarter mile drag strip in less than 11 seconds. From a car that rolls straight out of a showroom, that’s fire.
