New Honda HR-V RS, now with full black interior

Honda Malaysia has announced that their latest Honda HR-V RS variant will now come with a new full black interior specially for those who prefer a sportier look and feel. This move was made based on customers’ feedbacks to add more style and sophistication into the HR-V RS mix.

The new black interior will be replacing the outgoing Ivory interior colour which can be seen in the car’s centre console, front panel, driver and passenger seat (front and rear) as well as door panel lining.

So far, Honda Malaysia has received over 12,200 bookings just for the Honda HR-V line-up and were pretty sure with this introduction of blacked out interior, those numbers will see a rise especially when paired with that lovely RS variant.

The RS model alone contributes to around 20% of the entire HR-V sales figure and with the domination of 86% of the total market share in the compact SUV segment, the HRV maintains its positions as No.1 in the Non-National Segment and No. 2 in overall Total Industry Volume (TIV).

Powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder SOHC i-VTEC engine, the RS model produces a commendable 140hp at 6,500rpm and 172Nm of maximum torque at 4,300rpm. All that power is sent to its sporty 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels via a continuous variable transmission (CVT) system for better overall mileage.

Other interesting specs include:

  • Multi-Angle Rearview Camera
  • 8-Way Driver Power Seat (V & RS), full leather seats (V & RS)
  • Honda LaneWatch camera (V & RS)
  • Cruise Control and Paddle Shift
  • 6 Airbags
  • Emergency Stop Signal (ESS)
  • Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA)
  • Hill Start Assist (HSA)
  • ISO Fix

The New HR-V is available in 5 colour options namely Passion Red Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Ruse Black Metallic, and White Orchid Pearl. Prices start from RM108,800 to RM124,800 (basic selling prices without insurance). For more information, head over to www.honda.com.my.
