BMW has teased the motoring industry with a simple and mysterious image of what will be the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe. Set to be unveiled at the end of June, the new 4-door sedan will make is first public appearance at the BMW Welt event.
Looking at the teaser photos, you can’t really make out much on how the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe will look like in detail (apart from the exterior sleek silhouette and roofline). Intended to be mysterious to spark great interest, what will be placed under the hood is going to be more enticing to say the least.
Set to go on sale worldwide (in stages) starting this September, we might just see the beautiful creation fitted with the beastly 4.4-liter V8 engine found in the BMW M850i xDrive Coupe which is able to produce a whopping 523hp and 750Nm of maximum torque.
The BMW M850i or more popularly known as “The 8” back when it was launched for the Malaysian market just a couple of months back, the model came with a lot of impressive features which include an all-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automatic transmission setup.
Whatever the case may be, we can’t wait for its official debut this coming March and we’re sure that it’ll be on of the hottest 4-door sedans in the market once it is launched. Stay tuned to Piston.My for more updates.
