Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has officially launched the 2019 Hyundai Elantra facelifted with a more modern yet aggressive design and other enhancements in and out. Just by the looks alone, we feel that this new Elantra should be cool-looking enough to capture the hearts of the younger generation with ease.
First and foremost, there’s only one variant available which is the 2.0L Executive and it comes in at a cool RM109,888 (on-the-road price without insurance). This is certainly a favourable price tag in the current premium C-segment sedan range and with its newly-designed façade, it will come as no surprise if it becomes the brand’s best-selling model for this year.

The new 2019 Hyundai Elantra is now 70mm longer than the previous model, but it still maintains the same wheelbase. This was done to create a much sleeker and sportier appeal with the addition of new sharp front headlights which fits superbly well with its new sporty radiator grille.
A new two-tone bumper comes with redesigned rear tail lights and fog lamps to complete the overall new look from front to rear. New 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels bring the whole image together in one hell of a stylish package.
These changes don’t stop at just the exterior, folks. The interior has also gone through an upgrade which includes a new sporty chequered cluster meter design, multifunctional steering wheel, all-black plush leather seats, and a soft touch material dashboard.
The new Elantra also comes with the Smart Drive Mode intelligent drive system which helps you to determine the best driving mode according to your style. This goes hand-in-hand with the car’s 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine that produces a cool 150hp at 6,200rpm and 192Nm of maximum torque at 4,000rpm.
