According a recent report made by Jalopnik, the Italian cargo ship dubbed “Grande America” was involved in an unfortunate incident where it erupted in fire and sank in the middle of the French Atlantic Coast just last week.
Although all 27 of its crew members managed to survive the ordeal, the cargo that was ship was carried suffered the worst fate possible. The biggest tragedy among the items being carried was a batch of 2019 Porsche 911 GTS RS! Four units of the already stopped production sports car are ‘sleeping with the fishes’ as we speak.
Other vehicular casualties include a long list of 33 (37 in total) high-end models including:
- Audi A3, A5, RS4, RS5, and Q7
- Porsche Cayman, Boxster, and Cayenne
These vehicles are set for delivery to their awaiting customers in Brazil but due to this casualty, they might have to wait a little while longer for their dream vehicles to arrive. Luckily, Porsche has also announced that they will putting the 911 GT2 RS back into production as part of their promise to deliver all purchased unit to their customers.
If you’re feeling like diving down to 15,000 feet and strike Porsche and Audi gold, you will be advised otherwise as chances are that all the vehicles were burned down before ending up in their final resting place at the bottom of the ocean. A moment of silence, everyone…
